DALL-E 3 is no longer the model behind it, and OpenAI lists DALL-E 3 as deprecated on its API. It suits one-off images and quick edits more than a consistent art-directed style across a campaign.

How to Choose the Right Tool
Match the tool to the output. Need art-directed hero images, concept art or moodboards? Midjourney. Need on-brand social posts, flyers and resized ad variants from templates? Adobe Express. Need a one-off illustration or a quick edit while you're already chatting? ChatGPT Images.
Start with what you already pay for. ChatGPT Images is included on every ChatGPT plan, so if you already have Go or Plus, try it before adding a Midjourney subscription. If your team has Adobe apps, check which Express and Firefly allowances you already hold.
Read the metering, not just the price. Midjourney sells GPU time: Basic's roughly 3.3 fast hours suit occasional use, while Standard ($30) adds unlimited relaxed generation for steady volume. Adobe meters with generative credits (250 a month on Express Premium), and partner models may use credits differently from Firefly.
Check the commercial terms for your company size. Midjourney requires Pro or Mega once your company makes more than $1,000,000 a year in gross revenue, so a growing business on Standard may need to upgrade. Adobe marks commercial use as included on Express Free and Premium.
Decide whether your images must stay private. Midjourney images are public in its gallery unless you use stealth mode, which only Pro and Mega include. For client work under NDA, budget for Pro or use a tool whose output isn't published by default.
Pay monthly first, then switch to annual. Midjourney's annual plans save 20% but are paid upfront. Adobe Express Premium is monthly with no annual commitment and a 30-day trial. Run a month on real projects before you commit to a year.
Build a prompt and style library. Save the prompts, reference images and settings that produce on-brand results, so anyone on the team can reproduce them. That matters more for consistency than which model you pick.
Keep a human in the loop for anything public. Check hands, text, logos and product details in every image, confirm you have rights to any reference image you upload, and label AI-generated images where your platform or client requires it.
