    Quick answer

Is Attio worth it in 2026?

Attio is a CRM you shape around your own records: people, companies and deals, plus objects such as workspaces, users or investors. It syncs email and calendars, enriches records, and runs AI search (Ask Attio), AI agents and workflows on a monthly credit allowance. It's worth it for startups that want a modern, flexible CRM and an API they can build on. The free plan covers up to 3 seats; Plus is $35 per seat a month billed annually ($44 monthly) and Pro $79 ($99). Sequences, call recording and custom objects need Pro. Prices were checked on Attio's pricing page on October 13, 2026.

    Best for
Product-led and technical startups that want custom records, an API and AI workflows in one CRM.
    Skip it if
You want sequences or call recording on a budget; both need Pro at $79 a seat billed annually.
    Strongest capability
The data model and developer access: objects you define, a REST API and webhooks on every plan, and an MCP server for AI assistants.
    Biggest limitation
Credits. Ask Attio, AI agents and workflow steps that write data or call AI draw from monthly seat and workspace credits, and extra credits cost from $70 a month.

    The Verdict

Attio is one of the strongest modern CRMs for startups that want to shape the data model to their business. Its free plan covers up to 3 seats and 50,000 records, Plus at $35 a seat billed annually adds more objects, records and funnel reports, and Pro at $79 brings sequences, call intelligence and custom objects. Ask Attio, AI agents and workflows are on every plan, but they run on a monthly credit allowance, so heavy automation means watching usage or buying credit packs. The API, webhooks and MCP server are available even on the free plan. Attio's own pages disagree on prices and plan features in places, and fees are non-refundable. We score Attio 8.7/10.

Startups that want a flexible CRM with AI and an API, and are happy to set up their own data model.

    The Background

    What Is Attio?

Attio is a CRM made by Attio Ltd, which says it builds from its London headquarters with teams across Europe and the US, and has more than 190 people. Its CEO and co-founder is Nicolas Sharp. In August 2025 it announced a $52 million Series B led by GV, bringing its total funding to $116 million. Attio describes its customers in different ways on different pages: 30,000+ customers on its homepage, 5,000 paying customers in the Series B post and 80,000 startups in its llms.txt file; all three are its own figures. During 2026 it added Ask Attio (an AI assistant that searches and acts on CRM data), an MCP server, a web research agent and a rebuilt Workflows builder for AI agents.

    The Product

Attio Features: What You Actually Get

    Flexible data model

Attio's pricing page caps objects at 3 on Free, 5 on Plus, 12 on Pro and unlimited on Enterprise, with 50,000, 250,000 and 1,000,000 records on the first three. Attio's help page lists custom objects from Pro. Formula attributes, historical attributes and time comparisons also start on Pro.

A B2B SaaS startup tracks companies, the workspaces they create in its product and the users in each workspace as linked records.

    Ask Attio and AI agents

Ask Attio answers questions and, since April 2026, takes actions on CRM data; it runs on personal seat credits (100 a month on Free, 500 on Plus, 1,000 on Pro, 2,500 on Enterprise). Workflows, rebuilt in June 2026 for AI agents, run on pooled workspace credits (250, 1,500 and 10,000 a month). Triggers, logic and lookups are free; credits are used when a block writes data, calls an outside service or uses AI.

A founder asks Ask Attio which deals haven't had an email in 14 days and has an agent draft a follow-up for each.

    Email, calendar and enrichment

Every plan syncs email and calendars (1 mailbox per user on Free and Plus, 2 on Pro) and enriches companies and people automatically. Enrichment adds more fields on higher plans: employee count and estimated ARR from Plus, funding raised from Pro. Email sending is capped at 200 a month on Free and 1,000 on Plus, and unlimited on Pro.

A seed-stage team connects Gmail and sees every conversation with an account on the company record, with headcount filled in.

    Sequences and call intelligence (Pro)

Email sequences, templates and call recording with AI transcripts and insights are Pro and Enterprise features. Pro also adds advanced permissions for up to 10 teams, 100 reports and priority support.

A founder-led sales team records discovery calls, reviews AI summaries on each deal and enrolls cold leads in a three-step sequence.

    Reporting

Reports are capped at 3 on Free, 15 on Plus (Attio's help page says up to 20) and 100 on Pro. Funnel reports and segmenting start on Plus; targets and historical comparisons on Pro.

A head of sales builds a funnel report from lead to closed-won and compares this quarter with last.

    The Numbers

    Attio Pricing: Every Plan Explained

Attio prices per seat. Annual billing saves 20% on Plus and Pro. Prices below are from Attio's pricing page, checked October 13, 2026, in USD; Attio also bills in GBP and EUR.

The free plan is generous on seats and records, but most growing sales teams will price Pro, because that's where sequences, call recording and custom objects start. Five people on Pro billed annually cost $395 a month, or $4,740 a year (our arithmetic from Attio's listed prices). Heavy use of AI and workflows can exhaust the included credits; extra workspace credits run from 5,000 a month for $70 or $85 to 50,000 for $475 or $595 (Attio's page shows two prices per pack without saying which billing period each is), and the Free plan can't buy more. Pending invitations take a seat. Upgrades are prorated immediately, while removing seats only lowers the bill at renewal. Attio's terms say fees are non-refundable, renewals apply unless either side gives 14 days' notice, and price changes need 30 days' notice. There's a 14-day trial of Pro.

    How billing works

    Seat credits and workspace credits

Attio uses two credit pools. Seat credits belong to each user and pay for Ask Attio. Workspace credits are shared and pay for workflows and AI. When a user runs out of seat credits, usage falls back to workspace credits unless an admin turns that off. Since September 2026, Ask Attio shows how many credits each thread used, and workflows have a run history and agent log.

Not every workflow step costs credits. Attio's help center says triggers, logic and lookups are free, and credits are used only when a block writes data, calls an outside service or uses AI. Workflows built before the June 2026 rebuild keep their old per-block pricing.

    Where Attio's own pages differ

Prices: the pricing page shows Plus at $35 billed annually ($44 monthly) and Pro at $79 ($99), while Attio's llms.txt file lists Plus at $29 ($36) and Pro at $69 ($86). This review follows the pricing page.

Sequences and trials: llms.txt lists email sequences on Plus and says all paid plans include a 14-day trial, while the pricing page and help center put sequences on Pro and describe a 14-day trial of Pro.

Limits: the pricing page lists 15 reports on Plus and 100+ on Enterprise, and 3+ synced mailboxes per Enterprise user; the help center says up to 20 reports on Plus, and unlimited reports and mailboxes on Enterprise.

Customer count: 30,000+ customers (homepage), 5,000 paying customers (August 2025 Series B post) and 80,000 startups (llms.txt).

    The Tradeoffs

    Attio Pros and Cons

    What we love

    • Free plan for up to 3 seats and 50,000 records
    • Flexible objects and attributes you define
    • API, webhooks and MCP server on every plan
    • Ask Attio and AI agents built in
    • Automatic enrichment and email and calendar sync
    • No training on customer data, per Attio's AI policy

    What could be better

    • Sequences, call recording and custom objects need Pro ($79 billed annually)
    • AI and workflows are metered by credits; extra packs from $70 a month
    • Plus caps a workspace at 10 seats
    • Fees are non-refundable and removed seats stay billed until renewal
    • SSO and SCIM only on Enterprise
    • Its own pages disagree on prices, limits and plan features

    The Audience

    Who Should Use Attio?

    Best for: product-led SaaS startups

Teams that want to track workspaces, users and product signals alongside deals get objects they define, an API on every plan and room to sync product data.

Best for: founders who want AI in the CRM

Ask Attio, AI agents and an MCP server for Claude or ChatGPT let a small team query and update records without building automations by hand, within the monthly credit allowance.

Skip if: you need cheap outbound

Teams whose main need is sequences and calling should compare Close or Pipedrive, which include those on lower-priced plans than Attio Pro.

    In The Wild

    How People Actually Use Attio

    A two-founder pre-seed startup

The Free plan covers both founders and a first hire, with email sync, enrichment and the API. Watch the 200-emails-a-month sending cap and the free credit allowance.

    A five-person seed-stage sales team

Pro ($79 a seat billed annually, $4,740 a year for five) adds sequences, call recording and custom objects. Use the 14-day Pro trial to estimate monthly credit use before committing.

A product-led startup syncing usage data

Model workspaces and users as objects, push product events through the API (100 read and 25 write requests a second) and let workflows flag accounts that are ready for sales.

    The Ecosystem

    Attio Integrations

Attio runs an app directory with integrations built by Attio and partners, plus a public REST API, webhooks and an MCP server on every plan.

    • →Gmail, Outlook and calendar sync
    • →Slack (including Ask Attio in Slack)
    • →Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams
    • →Zapier
    • →Stripe and Segment
    • →Aircall and JustCall
    • →Notion, Linear and Productboard
    • →REST API, webhooks, App SDK and MCP server

Attio's API allows 100 read and 25 write requests a second. Attio doesn't publish a total app count. Its trust center, linked from the help center, didn't load readable details on security certifications when we checked, so we haven't listed any.

    The Final Word

    Should You Use Attio?

    8.7/10 Score

Attio gives startups a modern CRM they can shape to their business, with a free plan that's generous on seats and records, an API and MCP server on every plan, and AI built in. The trade-offs are the credit system, which makes heavy AI and workflow use a budgeting exercise, and a price jump to Pro for sequences, calls and custom objects. Read the pricing page rather than Attio's other pages, which disagree in places, and use the Pro trial to estimate credit use. We score Attio 8.7/10.
