Quick answer
What is LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and is it worth paying for?
LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a paid LinkedIn product for finding and following B2B buyers. It adds 50+ search filters, up to 10,000 saved leads and accounts with alerts, 50 InMail credits a month and AI summaries (Account IQ and Lead IQ) on top of your LinkedIn account. It's worth paying for if LinkedIn is where you research and contact prospects. It isn't a contact database: LinkedIn says you can't export lead or account data to CSV, and it doesn't sell emails or phone numbers. Core costs $1,079.88 a year (about $89.99 a month) or $119.99 month to month per license, Advanced $1,799.88 a year or $159.99 monthly, and Advanced Plus is quote-only, per LinkedIn's compare-plans page on October 13, 2026.
- Best for
- Account executives, founders and small sales teams who prospect on LinkedIn and want alerts when saved leads change jobs or post.
- Skip it if
- You need emails and phone numbers to export, bulk sequences, or automation; LinkedIn's terms ban scraping and bots.
- Strongest capability
- Search and alerts built on LinkedIn's own member data: 50+ filters, 10,000 saved leads and accounts, job-change alerts and Relationship Map on every plan.
- Biggest limitation
- Only 50 InMail credits a month on every plan (no top-ups), no data export, and CRM sync only on the sales-only Advanced Plus plan.
The Verdict
LinkedIn Sales Navigator is the most direct way to prospect inside LinkedIn: 50+ search filters, 10,000 saved leads and accounts, alerts when saved leads change jobs, and Account IQ, Lead IQ and Message Assist, which LinkedIn's compare-plans page and help center now list on every plan. It's priced like a specialist tool. Core is $1,079.88 a year or $119.99 a month per license, Advanced is $1,799.88 a year or $159.99 a month, and Advanced Plus, the only plan with CRM sync, is sold through sales with no published price. Every plan gets the same 50 InMail credits a month, and LinkedIn says you can't buy more. LinkedIn also says you can't export lead or account data, it sells no emails or phone numbers, and its User Agreement bans scraping tools, bots and automation extensions. Saved leads, lists and messages are deleted when you cancel. Refunds are limited to 7 days after a charge without Premium usage. LinkedIn's own pages disagree on which plans include the AI features. We score LinkedIn Sales Navigator 8.1/10.
Best for
Sellers who research and contact prospects on LinkedIn and want saved leads, job-change alerts and AI summaries in one place.
Skip if
You need exportable emails and phone numbers, high-volume sequences or automation, or CRM sync without a sales-negotiated contract.
The Background
What Is LinkedIn Sales Navigator?
LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a paid prospecting product from LinkedIn, sold as Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus. It runs as a separate interface on top of your LinkedIn account, on the web and in iOS and Android apps, and is available in seven languages. It searches LinkedIn's member and company data (LinkedIn says 1+ billion members as of April 2026), lets you save leads and accounts to get alerts on job changes and posts, and adds InMail credits for messaging people you aren't connected to. LinkedIn describes Core as for individual sellers, Advanced for sales teams that want collaboration tools like TeamLink and Smart Links, and Advanced Plus for teams that sync a CRM. LinkedIn says 1.5M+ sellers use it; that's its own figure. It isn't a contact-data tool: it doesn't provide email addresses or phone numbers for export, and LinkedIn's help center says lead and account data can't be exported to CSV or XLS.
The Product
LinkedIn Sales Navigator Features: What You Actually Get
Lead and account search
Every plan includes 50+ search filters (function, seniority, years at company and more), saved searches, custom lists, and up to 10,000 saved leads and accounts per user, with up to 1,000 per list. LinkedIn's help center says search results stop at 2,500 leads (100 pages) or 1,000 accounts (40 pages) per search, so very broad searches need narrowing. Advanced and Advanced Plus add Buyer Intent signals and a 'Who viewed my company page' filter.
A SaaS account executive filters for heads of finance at 200-1,000-person US manufacturers who changed jobs in the last 90 days and saves them to a list.
Alerts, Relationship Map and Relationship Explorer
Saved leads and accounts generate alerts for job and role changes and new posts. Relationship Map, which charts the buying committee at an account, and Relationship Explorer, which surfaces decision-makers along with highlights like job changes and recent posts, are on every plan, according to the compare-plans table. Shared activity alerts on team lists need Advanced or Advanced Plus, and alerts when an account's decision-makers engage with your LinkedIn content are Advanced Plus only.
A founder gets an alert that a former champion has joined a new company and reaches out in the first week of the new role.
Account IQ, Lead IQ and Message Assist
Account IQ writes an AI summary of a company's priorities, challenges and news; Lead IQ summarizes a lead's background and activity; Message Assist drafts a first InMail from both. The help center says Account IQ and Lead IQ are on all plans, Lead IQ and Message Assist work only in English, Account IQ isn't available for companies of 49 employees or fewer, and Message Assist is capped at 50 AI-assisted messages a month, each using an InMail credit. Admins can turn these features off for the whole account.
An enterprise rep generates an Account IQ summary before a discovery call and uses Message Assist to draft an InMail to the new CFO, then edits it before sending.
InMail, TeamLink and Smart Links
Every plan gets 50 InMail credits a month; unused credits bank up to 150, a credit comes back for each reply within 90 days, and you can't buy more. Messages to 1st-degree connections and Open Profile members don't use credits. Advanced and Advanced Plus add TeamLink and TeamLink Extend, which show colleagues who can introduce you, and Smart Links, which track who opens content you share.
A five-person sales team on Advanced uses TeamLink to find a colleague connected to a target VP and asks for an introduction instead of spending an InMail.
CRM sync and embedded profiles (Advanced Plus)
CRM Sync with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot and Oracle Sales is only on Advanced Plus. It auto-saves CRM accounts and contacts into Sales Navigator, logs InMails, messages, notes and Smart Links back to the CRM, creates CRM records from a lead page and flags out-of-date records. LinkedIn's permissions table says lead creation isn't available for HubSpot (contact creation is). Advanced Plus also adds embedded profiles in 15+ CRM and sales tools, Microsoft Teams alerts and ROI reporting.
A 40-seat sales team on Advanced Plus syncs Salesforce so every account in an owner's territory is saved automatically and InMails are logged to the contact record.

- Up to 10,000 saved leads and accounts per user, 1,000 per list

- CRM Sync with Salesforce, Dynamics 365, HubSpot and Oracle Sales on Advanced Plus only
- No CSV or XLS export of lead or account data
- Web, iOS and Android apps in seven languages
The Numbers
LinkedIn Sales Navigator Pricing: Every Plan Explained
Sales Navigator is priced per license. The prices below are from LinkedIn's compare-plans page, checked October 13, 2026, in USD before taxes; LinkedIn notes prices may exclude VAT or GST and can vary slightly by device. Annual prices are billed as one yearly payment; the monthly equivalent is our arithmetic.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Included Features | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $119.99/license/mo | $1,079.88/yr (about $89.99/mo) | Single user; 50+ search filters, 10,000 saved leads and accounts, custom lists, alerts, Relationship Map, Relationship Explorer, Account IQ, Lead IQ and Message Assist, 50 InMail credits a month | Individual sellers and founders |
| AdvancedBest value | $159.99/license/mo | $1,799.88/yr (about $149.99/mo) | Everything in Core plus team seat management and central billing, Buyer Intent, TeamLink and TeamLink Extend, Smart Links, shared lists, team usage reporting and CSV upload of account lists; up to five licenses can be bought online | Sales teams that don't need CRM sync |
| Advanced Plus | Sales-only (custom quote) | Sales-only (custom quote) | Everything in Advanced plus CRM Sync (Salesforce, Dynamics 365, HubSpot, Oracle Sales), lead and contact creation in the CRM, embedded profiles and experiences, Microsoft Teams alerts, ROI reporting, CRM import of your book of business | Teams of 10+ that run a supported CRM |
Annual billing saves far more on Core than on Advanced: Core costs $1,079.88 a year against $1,439.88 for 12 monthly payments (LinkedIn's stated 25% saving), while Advanced costs $1,799.88 against $1,919.88 (6%). A five-person team on Advanced billed annually pays $8,999.40 a year (our arithmetic from LinkedIn's listed prices). Advanced Plus has no published price; LinkedIn quotes it based on team size, CRM integration and onboarding needs. The free trial is available for Core and Advanced only to members with no paid LinkedIn subscription who haven't used a LinkedIn trial in the past 365 days; it needs a credit card and, per the help center, auto-renews into a paid subscription one month after it starts unless you cancel at least a day before. LinkedIn's refund policy says Sales Navigator may be refundable within 7 days of a charge if you haven't used Premium features, and the User Agreement says subscriptions renew automatically. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current month or year, and the help center says saved leads, accounts and messages are deleted at that point and any older, lower price is lost.

What you can't export or automate
LinkedIn's help center says it doesn't offer a way to export account and lead information from Sales Navigator to a CSV or XLS file. The only official way to move data out is CRM Sync on Advanced Plus, which writes activity and new records to Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot or Oracle Sales. CSV upload works in the other direction only, for account lists (not lead lists), on Advanced and Advanced Plus. Sales Navigator doesn't provide email addresses or phone numbers.
LinkedIn's User Agreement (effective November 3, 2025), section 8.2, prohibits software, scripts, crawlers and browser extensions that scrape or copy LinkedIn data, bots that add contacts or send messages, and bypassing use limits such as search results. LinkedIn's help article on prohibited software says members who use these tools risk having their accounts restricted or shut down. That covers the many third-party 'Sales Navigator exporters' and LinkedIn automation tools; check each one against these terms before using it with your account.
LinkedIn's Generative AI help article says AI output can be wrong and should be checked before use, that admins can turn the AI features off, and that the AI features aren't an entitlement included in the subscription fee and can be limited or withdrawn. None of this is legal advice.

Where LinkedIn's own pages differ
AI features by plan: the Sales Navigator product page footnotes Account IQ, Lead IQ and AI message drafts as 'Available only on Advanced and Advanced Plus plans', but the same page's FAQ says Account IQ, Lead IQ and Message Assist are 'now available across Core, Advanced, and Advanced Plus plans'. The compare-plans table ticks all three on Core, and the help center's Account IQ and Lead IQ articles say they're on all subscriptions.
AI languages and status: the product page says the AI features work 'in select languages' and calls message drafting a public beta, while the help center says Lead IQ and Message Assist are available only in English and doesn't describe Message Assist as a beta.
Trial length: the compare-plans page doesn't state a trial length and says availability may vary by plan and region; the help center's renewal article says a Sales Navigator trial auto-renews one month after it starts, and its general Premium trial article says trial length may vary by region or promotion.
Freshworks: the account types article says an Embedded Profile is available in Freshworks, while the CRM integration article lists Freshworks under Embedded Experiences and names Pega, SAP and SugarCRM for Embedded Profiles.

The Audience
Who Should Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator?
Best for: account executives selling to named accounts
Reps working a defined territory can save every target account, get alerts on new executives and job changes, and use Account IQ and Relationship Map to plan multi-threaded outreach.
Best for: founders and consultants doing their own selling
Core gives one person LinkedIn's full search filters, 10,000 saved leads and 50 InMails a month for about $90 a month billed annually, with no seat minimum.
Skip if: you need contact data or volume outreach
Teams that need verified emails and direct dials, CSV exports or automated multichannel sequences are better served by Apollo, ZoomInfo or Cognism, alongside or instead of Sales Navigator.
The Methodology
How We Reviewed LinkedIn Sales Navigator
This is an editorial review, not a documented hands-on test. We didn't use a Sales Navigator account for this review. It's based on LinkedIn's Sales Navigator product page and compare-plans page, LinkedIn Help articles on account types, InMail credits, message types, saving leads, search limits, exporting data, CSV uploads, CRM integration and CRM Sync permissions, Account IQ, Lead IQ, Message Assist, generative AI settings, free trials and renewal, refunds and cancellation, LinkedIn's help article on prohibited software, and the LinkedIn User Agreement (effective November 3, 2025), all checked on October 13, 2026. Where LinkedIn's pages differ, we report both statements. No search accuracy, InMail response rate or AI output quality results are claimed.
Our editorial evaluation considers product information, official documentation, pricing, features and professional experience. It is not a claim of documented hands-on testing.

The Field
LinkedIn Sales Navigator vs The Competition
Sales Navigator is usually compared with B2B contact-data and prospecting platforms, which supply the emails and phone numbers Sales Navigator doesn't. Prices below were checked on each vendor's pricing page on October 13, 2026, using US pricing.
| Tool | Starting Price | Free plan | Best Feature | BS Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn Sales Navigator | Core $89.99/mo billed annually ($119.99 monthly) | No | Lead and account search | 8.1/10 |

In The Wild
How People Actually Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator
A solo B2B consultant
Core billed annually ($1,079.88) covers search, 10,000 saved leads, alerts and 50 InMails a month. Message 1st-degree connections and Open Profile members first, since those don't use credits.
A six-person SaaS sales team
Advanced (up to five licenses can be bought online; more through LinkedIn's admin center) adds TeamLink for warm introductions, shared lists, Buyer Intent and Smart Links. Without Advanced Plus, reps log activity to the CRM by hand.
A 50-seat enterprise sales org on Salesforce
Advanced Plus is the plan for CRM Sync, auto-saving territory accounts, logging InMails to Salesforce and ROI reporting. Pricing is negotiated with LinkedIn's sales team.
The Ecosystem
LinkedIn Sales Navigator Integrations
Sales Navigator's CRM and sales-tool integrations are almost all reserved for Advanced Plus; compliance archiving works on any plan.
- →Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot and Oracle Sales: CRM Sync, Embedded Profiles and Embedded Experiences (Advanced Plus)
- →Pega, SAP and SugarCRM: Embedded Profiles (Advanced Plus)
- →Freshworks: Embedded Experiences (Advanced Plus)
- →Gong, Outreach and other SNAP partners (15+ listed by LinkedIn; Advanced Plus)
- →Microsoft Teams alerts (Advanced Plus)
- →Microsoft Power BI, Tableau and G2 (Advanced Plus)
- →Global Relay, Smarsh and Theta Lake compliance archiving (any plan)
- →Calendar sync for pre-meeting insights
Plan requirements come from LinkedIn's product page, compare-plans page and help center. There's no CSV export of lead or account data on any plan; CRM Sync is the only official route out, and lead creation isn't supported for HubSpot (contact creation is). LinkedIn's User Agreement bans third-party scrapers, bots and automation extensions.
Common Questions
LinkedIn Sales Navigator FAQ
The Final Word
Should You Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator?
LinkedIn Sales Navigator is the right tool when LinkedIn is where you find and talk to buyers: deep search filters, 10,000 saved leads with job-change alerts, and AI account and lead summaries that LinkedIn now lists on every plan. It's expensive per seat, the 50 monthly InMails don't grow with your plan, CRM sync sits behind a quote-only tier, and it gives you no exportable contact data. Most outbound teams will pair it with a data tool like Apollo, ZoomInfo or Cognism rather than replace one. We score LinkedIn Sales Navigator 8.1/10.
Yes, if
You prospect on LinkedIn every day and want saved leads, alerts, TeamLink introductions and AI research summaries in one place.
No, if
You need exportable emails and phone numbers, automated sequences, or CRM sync without a sales-negotiated contract.
