    The Short Answer

Pick Gamma if you want the quickest way to turn notes into a deck, document or simple web page, and want to start free: its free plan gives 400 credits with no card, and Plus is $9 a seat a month billed yearly or $12 monthly. Pick Beautiful.ai if your work ends up as conventional slides that must stay on-brand and land in PowerPoint: its Smart Slides keep layouts consistent, AI generation is unlimited on every seat, and Pro is $14.50 a month billed annually. Both export to PDF and PowerPoint. This compares published plans as of October 10, 2026; it isn't a hands-on test of either tool.

    The 5 Rounds

    Where each tool actually wins

    Round 1 / Formats & AI Generation

Round 1: What each one makes from a prompt

    Winner — Gamma

Both start from a prompt or a source document and draft a full deck you then edit. The difference is what else they can produce and how AI use is counted.

    • 01Gamma makes presentations, documents, websites, social visuals and images, and can publish a site on a custom domain from Pro.
    • 02Gamma meters AI with credits: 400 at signup on Free, then 1,000 a month on Plus, 4,000 on Pro and 20,000 on Ultra, with rollover up to twice the monthly amount.
    • 03Beautiful.ai makes slide presentations, starting from an editable outline, and includes unlimited AI content generation on every paid seat.
    • 04Gamma names Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and several image models; Beautiful.ai's homepage says its AI is powered by Anthropic.

    Round 2 / Slide Design & Brand

    Round 2: Keeping decks consistent

    Winner — Beautiful.ai
    • 01Beautiful.ai's 300+ Smart Slide layouts adjust spacing and alignment automatically as content changes.
    • 02Beautiful.ai includes custom branding and a theme builder on Pro, and Team adds shared folders, a slide library and player branding.
    • 03Gamma edits cards and layouts on a scrollable canvas, with custom branding from Pro ($18 a seat billed yearly).
    • 04Beautiful.ai Enterprise adds brand guardrails and locked-slide permissions for larger teams.

    Round 3 / PowerPoint & Google Slides

Round 3: Getting the deck into the format your audience expects

    Winner — Beautiful.ai
    • 01Both export to PDF and PowerPoint on every plan.
    • 02Beautiful.ai offers a PowerPoint add-in and Google Slides export from Pro, though its help center says media, animations and transitions are lost.
    • 03Gamma's pricing page lists Google Slides export on Free, but its help center says there's no direct export: you export PowerPoint and upload it to Google Slides.
    • 04Gamma's embeds work in its web view but not in PDF or PowerPoint exports.

    Round 4 / Price & Trial

Round 4: What you pay and how you try it

    Winner — Gamma
    • 01Gamma has a free plan with no card; Plus is $9 a seat a month billed yearly ($12 monthly) and Pro $18 ($25).
    • 02Beautiful.ai has no free plan; Pro is $14.50 a month billed annually, with no monthly Pro price apart from a $45 single-presentation month.
    • 03Beautiful.ai's 14-day trial requires a card and charges in full if you don't cancel.
    • 04Refunds are narrow on both: Gamma within 3 days and under a credit-use threshold; Beautiful.ai within 24 hours on annual plans and none on monthly plans.

    Round 5 / Teams, Security & Data

Round 5: Admin controls and how your content is used

    Round called a tie
    • 01Gamma Business is $40 a seat a month billed yearly with SSO; its pricing page says 10,000 credits per seat, while a help article says 6,000 per member.
    • 02Beautiful.ai Team is $40 per user a month billed annually per its pricing intro, though its Team card says $40 a month includes 3 users; SAML SSO and SCIM are Enterprise-only.
    • 03Both say they are SOC 2 Type II compliant.
    • 04Gamma says Business and Enterprise content is excluded from AI training, while Free, Plus, Pro and Ultra may be used by default with an opt-out; Beautiful.ai says customer data isn't used to train public models.

    The Verdict

    Overall winner: Tie

There's no single winner, because the two tools suit different kinds of presenters. Gamma is the easier starting point: a free plan with no card, low monthly prices, and one prompt that can become a deck, a document or a web page. Watch its credit limits, the lack of a PowerPoint add-in, and the conflict between its pricing page and help center on Google Slides export. Beautiful.ai is the better fit for conventional, on-brand slide decks: Smart Slides keep layouts consistent, AI is unlimited on every seat, and decks export to PowerPoint and Google Slides. Its terms are stricter, with no free plan, a card-required trial, annual-only Pro and refunds limited to 24 hours. If you're unsure, start on Gamma's free plan and only take Beautiful.ai's trial once you know you need its slide controls.

    If you only have $20

Gamma Free to try, then Plus at $9 a seat a month billed yearly; Beautiful.ai Pro at $14.50 for heavy AI use on slides.

    If money's not the issue

Gamma Business ($40, SSO) for teams making decks, docs and sites; Beautiful.ai Team or Enterprise for shared brand libraries and guardrails.
