    Quick answer

What is Colossyan, and is it worth paying for?

Colossyan is an AI video tool for workplace learning: you turn a PDF, slide deck, web page or script into a video presented by an AI avatar, then add quizzes, buttons and branching paths, translate it, and export it to a learning management system as SCORM. It's worth paying for if your team produces a steady stream of training videos and wants them interactive and trackable. It's less suited to marketing or creator videos, where HeyGen offers more. On October 14, 2026, Starter was free with 20 minutes a month and a Colossyan overlay on exports, Professional cost $59 a month billed yearly for one editor ($89 monthly) with 30 minutes plus 10 minutes on the newer NEO2 model, and Enterprise was quoted.

    Best for
L&D, HR and compliance teams producing training and onboarding videos for an LMS.
    Skip it if
You make marketing or social videos, or need more than 30 to 40 minutes a month without an Enterprise contract.
    Strongest capability
Training-specific interactivity: quizzes, branching scenarios and SCORM export alongside AI avatars and translation.
    Biggest limitation
Tight monthly minute caps that don't roll over, and data residency, unlimited SCORM and analytics only on Enterprise.
    Current cost
Free; Professional $59 to $119 a month billed yearly for one to three editors ($89 to $179 monthly); Enterprise quoted.

    The Verdict

Colossyan is one of the more focused AI video tools for training teams. Beyond avatars and voices, it converts documents and slides into lessons, adds quizzes, buttons and branching paths, auto-translates, and exports SCORM packages that LMSs can track, and its Cora agent plans videos scene by scene. Starter is genuinely free for light use. The limits are minutes and plan gating. Professional includes 30 minutes on the NEO model and 10 on NEO2 a month, with no rollover, and allows at most three editors; analytics, unlimited SCORM, 4K, SSO and EU or US data residency are Enterprise features. Its own pages disagree on whether Professional can export SCORM and on language and avatar counts. Refunds are limited to 14 days and under 10 minutes generated. We score Colossyan 8.4/10.

    The Background

    What Is Colossyan?

Colossyan is an AI video platform founded in 2020, headquartered in Budapest with an office in London; its contracting entity is Colossyan Inc. in Delaware. Users write or import a script, pick from 300-plus stock avatars and 700-plus voices or create a custom avatar from a photo, and build scenes in a slide-like editor. Training features include quizzes, branching scenarios, a course outline editor, auto-translation with lip sync, screen recording and SCORM export. Its newest video model is called NEO2, and an AI agent called Cora plans videos scene by scene. Colossyan says it doesn't use customer content to train models and runs on AWS in EU and US regions.

    The Product

Colossyan Features: What You Actually Get

    Document-to-video and AI avatars

Colossyan converts PDFs, PowerPoint decks, documents and URLs into presenter-led videos, and Cora plans the scenes. Starter and Professional include all stock avatars (300-plus on the pricing page), stock voices, instant custom avatars from a single photo (15 on Starter, 20 on Professional) and cloned voices. Studio-filmed custom avatars are a $1,000-a-year add-on.

An HR team turns a 20-page policy PDF into a six-minute avatar-led explainer for new hires.

    Quizzes, branching and interactive video

Interactive videos add action buttons, quizzes, scene navigation for choose-your-own-path scenarios and invisible buttons. Starter allows 10 interactive videos a month, Professional 15 and Enterprise unlimited; analytics on clicks, completions and quiz results are listed for Enterprise.

A compliance trainer builds a branching scenario where learners choose how to respond to a phishing email.

    SCORM and LMS delivery

Colossyan exports SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages with completion and pass-mark settings, for LMSs such as Moodle, Cornerstone, Docebo, 360Learning, TalentLMS and Litmos. The pricing page gives Professional 5 SCORM exports a month in streaming format and Enterprise unlimited exports in streaming and self-contained formats; xAPI is on the roadmap.

An L&D manager publishes a quiz-enabled onboarding module to Docebo and tracks completions there.

    Translation, brand kits and collaboration

Auto-translation covers what Colossyan's pricing page calls 120-plus languages (its homepage says 100-plus), with 15 translations a month on Starter, 20 on Professional and unlimited on Enterprise. Brand kits are on every plan; Professional adds commenting, draft sharing, a branded share page and HTML embedding.

A global manufacturer publishes a safety video in English, then generates Spanish and Polish versions for its plants.

    Feature recap

    • PDF, slide, document and URL to avatar video; Cora scene planning
    • 300-plus stock avatars and 700-plus voices (pricing page figures)
    • Quizzes, buttons and branching scenarios
    • SCORM 1.2 and 2004 export (5 a month on Professional)
    • Auto-translation in 100-plus or 120-plus languages, by page
    • Free Starter with 20 minutes a month and a branded overlay
    • Minutes don't roll over; drafts don't count
    • SSO, analytics, 4K and EU or US data residency on Enterprise

    The Numbers

    Colossyan Pricing: Every Plan Explained

These are the prices on Colossyan's pricing page on October 14, 2026, in US dollars per month. Professional is priced by the number of editors; the monthly-billing figures come from the page's price data, since the page shows yearly prices by default.

    PlanMonthlyAnnualIncluded FeaturesBest For

Enterprise—Quote (billed annually)Unlimited minutes, translations and SCORM, custom editors, analytics, 4K, team permissions, SSO/SAML, dedicated CSM, EU or US data residencyOrganizations with large training libraries
Add-ons—600 extra NEO2 minutes $1,500/yr; studio avatar $1,000/yrExtra NEO2 minutes on yearly Professional; studio-filmed custom avatarsTeams that outgrow Professional's minutes

Minutes are the constraint. Professional's 30 NEO and 10 NEO2 minutes a month cover roughly a handful of short training videos; unused minutes don't roll over, and deleting a video doesn't return them, although drafts don't use minutes. Yearly plans receive the whole year's minutes up front and allow 50-minute videos (30 on monthly). Extra editors cost $30 a month on yearly billing or $45 monthly, up to three in total. Beyond that, Enterprise is quote-only. Colossyan's refund policy gives a full refund within 14 days if you've generated under 10 minutes of video and aren't on Enterprise; otherwise refunds are partial at its discretion or not available, and the pricing FAQ says unused months on annual plans aren't refunded. Subscriptions renew automatically, and accounts can be paused for up to two months through chat.

    Where Colossyan's own pages differ

SCORM: the pricing page lists 5 SCORM exports a month on Professional, while the SCORM feature page's table lists Colossyan Video SCORM availability as 'Enterprise plans'. Confirm before buying Professional for LMS delivery.

Free plan or trial: the Starter card says 'Free' and the FAQ mentions a free plan, while calls to action on the pricing, API and security pages say 'free for 14 days'.

Counts: the pricing page says 120-plus languages, 300-plus avatars and 700-plus voices; the homepage says 100-plus languages and the API page 'over 130' avatars and 'over 600' voices.

Data residency: the security page says Colossyan runs on AWS in EU and US regions and handles residency in enterprise sales; the pricing page lists 'EU or US Data residency' only on Enterprise.

    The Audience

    Who Should Use Colossyan?

Best for: L&D teams building onboarding and compliance

Teams that need trackable modules in an LMS get quizzes, branching and SCORM in the same tool that makes the video, without a separate authoring step.

Best for: HR and operations turning documents into video

Policy PDFs and slide decks become avatar-presented videos quickly, and translations help multinational teams.

Skip if: you make marketing or creator video

HeyGen and similar tools target marketing, ads and social formats with more creator features. Colossyan's strengths are training-specific.

    How People Actually Use Colossyan

    A two-person L&D team

Professional with two editors ($89 a month billed yearly) gives 30 NEO and 10 NEO2 minutes a month and 5 SCORM exports. Confirm SCORM is enabled on your plan before committing.

    A startup HR lead

Start on the free Starter plan for onboarding videos; the overlay and 20-minute cap are acceptable for internal use while you test the format.

    A regulated enterprise

Data residency, SSO, analytics and unlimited SCORM are Enterprise features, so go straight to a quote and ask for the SOC 2 report.

    The Final Word

    Should You Use Colossyan?

    8.4/10 Score

Colossyan is a strong, training-first AI video tool, with interactivity, SCORM and translation that generic avatar tools don't match, and a usable free plan. Tight minute caps, a three-editor ceiling and Enterprise-only residency and analytics mean larger teams will end up in a sales conversation. We score Colossyan 8.4/10.
