AI-assisted documentation helps turn rough notes into structured SOPs, and role-based assignment, tests and completion reporting show who has learned which process. Core covers documentation, AI search, testing and HRIS integrations; Pro adds individual training paths, an org chart, the Delegation Planner and 300 e-signatures a year; Premium adds custom branding, SSO and unlimited e-signatures. Trainual is a documentation, training and accountability platform for businesses that need to capture how the company runs and onboard people into it. Trainual officially launched in January 2018; it grew out of operations consulting work by Chris Ronzio and says it supports more than 7,500 small businesses. Content is organized into subjects, topics and steps, with role-based assignment so employees see the training relevant to them. Current plans center on AI-assisted documentation, which drafts SOPs from notes, and AI knowledge search that answers employee questions from your documentation.

Trainual's AI turns rough notes into a structured SOP draft that you then edit. Unlimited AI-assisted documentation is included on every plan, and the Trainual Capture Chrome extension can record the steps you take in a web tool and compile them into a step-by-step guide.
Run through a customer onboarding process in your web tools with Trainual Capture recording the steps, then edit the generated guide into an SOP.
AI-powered knowledge search with Q&A
AI knowledge search (included on every plan) lets employees ask a plain-English question and get an answer drawn from your documentation, with links to the source content. Integrations with Google Drive, Notion, Confluence, OneDrive, Dropbox and SharePoint let the AI assistant draw on files stored there too.
A new hire asks about the remote-work policy and gets the answer from the handbook without pinging a manager.
Role-based training paths
Assign training by role or group so every new hire gets the right onboarding content. Trainual tracks completion and test results so you know who has finished which training. Pro adds individual training paths, training time estimates, completion nudges and required video watching.

Trainual Pricing: Every Plan Explained
Trainual does not publish plan prices. Its pricing page lists four plans (Core, Pro, Premium and Enterprise) and says pricing varies with team size and the features you need, so you get a price after a demo. A one-time $1,000 implementation fee applies, and implementation support is listed as required on every plan. The pricing page mentions no free trial or free plan.

Quote-only pricing is the biggest friction point: you can't compare Trainual's cost with other tools without a demo. Budget for the one-time $1,000 implementation fee on top of the subscription, and ask for the full price, contract length and any per-seat terms in writing. Trainual says it is best suited to companies with 25 to 1,000 employees, so very small teams may find a wiki such as Notion covers their SOP needs for much less.
