    Quick answer

Is Lindy worth it in 2026?

Lindy is an AI teammate that lives mainly in Slack, with a private Lindy in each person's messages and a shared one in channels. It labels and drafts email, records and summarises meetings, preps you for calls, schedules, and runs routines on a schedule or when an email, Slack message or meeting happens. It's worth it for founders and small teams who want help with inbox and meeting work without building automations. Lindy bills every active user, from $49.99 a month for 5,000 credits on its pricing page, though its homepage and the same page's metadata still say $29.99. A free start gives $50 in credits for 7 days with no card. Prices were checked on October 13, 2026.

    Best for
Founders and small teams that live in Slack and email and want an assistant to triage, draft, record and follow up.
    Skip it if
You want to build custom multi-step agents with unlimited seats; Gumloop or Zapier fit that better.
    Strongest capability
Reach: Lindy works from Slack DMs, channels, iMessage, SMS and inside Gmail, with 1,000+ integrations and MCP.
    Biggest limitation
Guardrails and pricing clarity. Approval rules apply only in shared Slack threads, per Lindy's docs, and its pages disagree on price and plan names.

    The Verdict

Lindy has repositioned from an agent builder to an AI teammate built around Slack. It drafts email in your voice, flags urgent messages by text, records Google Meet, Zoom and Teams calls, preps meetings, and runs routines on schedules or events, and it can drive a browser for tasks that need one. Setup is light: connect your inbox, calendar and Slack and talk to it. The weak points are guardrails and clarity. Lindy's pricing FAQ says it won't act without your approval, but its integration docs say approval rules apply only in shared Slack threads, not in the web app, Slack DMs, iMessage or SMS. Pricing is per active user in credits, and on October 13, 2026 Lindy's pages showed both $49.99 and $29.99 as the starting price and used two sets of plan names. Purchases are non-refundable. We score Lindy 8.2/10.

    The Background

    What Is Lindy?

Lindy is made by Crivello Corp, doing business as Lindy, registered in Beaverton, Oregon; its founder and CEO is Flo Crivello. In August 2025 it launched Lindy 3.0 with an Agent Builder and computer use. Its current product, described in its docs as an AI teammate, is built around Slack: each person gets a private Lindy in their direct messages and teams can share one in channels. Lindy also works over iMessage and SMS and through a Chrome extension inside Gmail. Its public changelog stops at October 2025, so the 2026 relaunch is documented in its help docs rather than in dated announcements.

    The Product

Lindy Features: What You Actually Get

    Email assistant

Lindy labels incoming email, drafts replies in your voice and saves them to your drafts folder, texts you about urgent messages, and bumps threads that need a follow-up. Lindy's pricing page says you can connect 2 to 5 inboxes depending on plan.

A founder wakes up to drafted replies for investor emails and a text about one urgent customer message.

    Meetings and scheduling

Lindy records and transcribes Google Meet, Zoom and Teams calls into a shared library, prepares briefs before meetings, sends a daily brief and handles scheduling.

A sales lead gets a brief on each prospect before calls and a summary with action items after.

    Routines

Routines run daily, weekly or monthly, or when an email is received or sent, a Slack message arrives, a calendar event starts or a meeting ends. A plain-language Smart Filter narrows event triggers, and a routine can be converted to a Python script. Workspace routines are admin-only.

An ops manager has Lindy post a Monday summary of open customer issues to a Slack channel.

    Computer use

Lindy can drive a browser like a person for tasks without an integration. Its pages disagree on the plan: the pricing page lists computer use in Team and also says it's on Pro and Max; the homepage says Pro and up.

A recruiter asks Lindy to look up candidates on a job board that has no API and add them to a sheet.

    Approvals and spend caps

Each tool can be set to always allow, require approval or not be offered. Lindy's docs say these rules apply in shared Slack threads only; web chat, Slack DMs, iMessage and SMS aren't guarded. Admins can set a monthly credit cap per person, though a running task can finish and go over.

A team requires approval before Lindy sends email from a shared channel, and caps each person's monthly credits.

    Feature recap

    • Email triage, drafting and follow-up bumps
    • Meeting recording, briefs and scheduling
    • Routines on schedules and email, Slack or calendar events
    • Works in Slack, iMessage, SMS and inside Gmail
    • Computer use for browser tasks
    • 1,000+ integrations and MCP servers
    • Per-tool approval rules in shared Slack threads

    Lindy Pricing: Every Plan Explained

Lindy bills every active user in your workspace and pools credits across the team. Prices below are from Lindy's pricing page as served on October 13, 2026, in USD; a credit is worth $0.01 on base plans, according to Lindy's docs.

    PlanMonthlyAnnualIncluded FeaturesBest For
Free$0—$50 in credits that last 7 days, no credit cardTrying Lindy
TeamBest valueFrom $49.99/userNo annual price published5,000 credits a month per user (higher tiers from 6,000 for $59.99 to 1,750,000 for $9,999.50), pooled credits, top-ups at $10 per 1,000, model choice, computer use, live onboardingFounders and small teams
EnterpriseCustomCustomCustom credits and billing, HIPAA with a signed BAA, SSO and SCIM, audit logs, dedicated support and enablementCompanies with compliance needs

Lindy's pricing page gives credit ranges by task: everyday asks 2 to 250 credits, deep work 250 to 1,000 and big builds 1,000 to 2,500, so 5,000 credits can go quickly on heavy research or browser tasks. When credits run out, Lindy pauses credit-using actions until they reset rather than billing an overage; monthly credits don't roll over, while top-up credits last until used. A five-person team on the entry tier pays about $250 a month (our arithmetic from the $49.99 rate). Upgrades apply immediately and downgrades at the end of the term, with no mid-cycle proration. Lindy's terms (September 24, 2026) say all purchases are non-refundable, payments recur without prior approval, and prices may change at any time.

    Read before you buy

Lindy's pages show two prices and two sets of plan names

Starting price: the pricing page served on October 13, 2026 says Team starts at $49.99 a month for 5,000 credits per user, while the same page's search description, the homepage FAQ and BestStacked's earlier check that day showed $29.99 for 3,000 credits. Confirm the price at checkout.

Plan names: the pricing page shows Free, Team and Enterprise, while Lindy's docs and homepage refer to Plus, Pro and Max plans. Computer use and live onboarding are listed in Team on the pricing page but described as Pro-and-up features elsewhere.

Approvals: the pricing FAQ answers 'Will Lindy do anything without my approval?' with 'No', while the integrations docs say approval rules apply only in shared Slack threads, not in web chat, Slack DMs, iMessage or SMS.

Other differences: Lindy claims 1,000+, 1,400+ and 1,500+ integrations on different pages, and calls itself 'HIPAA compliant' in its docs while its security page says its controls are mapped to HIPAA requirements; a signed BAA is Enterprise only.

    • Credits pause instead of billing overages
    • $50 of free credits with no card

    • Its pages show $29.99 and $49.99 starting prices
    • Approval rules apply only in shared Slack threads
    • Monthly credits don't roll over
    • All purchases are non-refundable
    • Public changelog stops at October 2025

    The Audience

    Who Should Use Lindy?

    Best for: busy founders

A founder buried in email and meetings gets drafted replies, meeting briefs and follow-ups, managed from Slack or a text message.

Best for: small teams in Slack

Teams can share a Lindy in a channel and set approval rules there, with pooled credits across members.

Skip if: you need strict controls everywhere

If an assistant must never send or change anything without sign-off, note that Lindy's approval rules don't cover DMs, iMessage or SMS.

    A solo founder

Start with the $50 free credits for 7 days, connect your inbox and calendar, and see how many credits a typical week uses before choosing a Team tier.

    A five-person startup in Slack

Share a Lindy in a team channel, set approval rules for email and CRM tools there, and cap credits per person. Remember DMs aren't covered by approval rules.

    A team that needs HIPAA

Lindy offers a signed BAA only on Enterprise. Ask sales for the BAA and SOC 2 report before connecting patient data.
