    Quick answer

What is Outreach, and is it worth paying for?

Outreach is a sales engagement platform that runs multichannel sequences (email, calls, LinkedIn and SMS), records and analyzes calls with its Kaia assistant, manages deals and forecasts, and adds AI agents for research, meeting prep, deals and personalization, all synced with your CRM. It's worth paying for if you run a structured sales team of meaningful size on Salesforce, Dynamics or HubSpot and want engagement, call insights and forecasting under one governed platform. Outreach publishes no prices: its pricing page, checked October 14, 2026, offers four Amplify plans priced per seat plus consumption-based AI credits, and every plan says "Request pricing". It doesn't include contact data, and orders are non-cancelable and non-refundable.

    Best for
Mid-market and enterprise SDR, AE and sales-management teams that need sequences, a dialer, call insights and forecasting tied to their CRM.
    Skip it if
You're a small team that wants self-serve pricing, a free trial, monthly terms or a built-in contact database.
    Strongest capability
Breadth for revenue teams: engagement, conversation intelligence, deal health and forecasting with AI agents and an MCP server and client on every plan.
    Biggest limitation
Opaque, committed pricing: no published seat or credit prices, AI credits on top of seats, no trial found, and non-cancelable, non-refundable orders that renew for 12 months.

    The Verdict

Outreach is built for sales organizations that need process and visibility as much as volume. Sequences, a dialer with included minutes, call recording and Kaia meeting insights, deal health and mutual action plans, and on the Pro plan forecasting and territory management sit in one platform with deep Salesforce, Dynamics and HubSpot sync. Its AI agents and MCP server and client let reps work from tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. The cost side is the weakness: Outreach publishes no seat or credit prices, bills AI usage in credits on top of seats, offers no trial that we found, and sells under terms that make orders non-cancelable and non-refundable and renew for 12 months with 30 days' notice. It also brings no contact data of its own, so most teams pay a data provider too. We score Outreach 8.2/10.

    The Background

    What Is Outreach?

Outreach is a sales engagement and revenue platform from Outreach Corporation of Seattle, started in early 2014 by four founders. Its about page reports $489 million in funding and a $4.4 billion valuation after its Series G; Abhijit Mitra has been CEO since September 2024. Reps run sequences of emails, calls, LinkedIn tasks and texts; managers see call recordings, coaching and deal health; and leaders forecast pipeline. Since 2025 Outreach has added AI agents, including Omni (April 2026) and agents for research, meeting prep, deals and personalization, plus an Agent Studio for building workflows. Outreach doesn't hold contact data itself: it enriches records through providers such as ZoomInfo, SalesIntel and LeadIQ, which require your own contract. Its website moved to outreach.ai.

    The Product

Outreach Features: What You Actually Get

    Sequences, dialer and email

Core and higher plans run multichannel sequences across email, calls, LinkedIn and SMS, with a click-to-call dialer and meeting scheduler. Email connects through Gmail, Office 365, Exchange or Outlook.com, with an Outlook add-in. The dialer is included, with standard plans carrying 1,000 minutes per user a month; a global calling plan costs $300 a month per organization for 10,000 minutes, then $40 per 1,000.

An SDR team runs a 12-step sequence mixing emails, calls and LinkedIn touches, with every activity logged to Salesforce.

    Kaia, call insights and coaching

Kaia transcribes meetings in real time and feeds call insights; Essentials focuses on conversation intelligence and coaching, and Plus adds live coaching and deal health. Listener licenses for people who only review calls are an add-on.

A sales manager reviews flagged moments from the week's discovery calls and shares coaching notes with two new reps.

    AI agents and Agent Studio

Outreach's agents include Omni (April 2026), Revenue, Research, Meeting Prep, Deal and Personalization agents, and Agent Studio is a visual canvas for building agent workflows. Agents draw on the AI credits in each plan: 10,000 on Essentials, 25,000 on Core, 50,000 on Plus and 100,000 on Pro, with extra packs for sale. Outreach doesn't publish what each action costs in credits.

An AE asks the Meeting Prep agent for a brief on a prospect's recent news and open opportunities before a call.

    Deals and forecasting

Deal management, deal health and mutual action plans help AEs run opportunities, and the Pro plan adds forecasting, a scenario planner, territory management and multi-currency support.

A sales leader on Pro compares this quarter's commit with a best-case scenario and reassigns territories ahead of planning.

    MCP, API and marketplace

Every plan lists an Outreach MCP server and client, which Outreach says works with Claude, Copilot, Agentforce, ChatGPT and Codex. The REST API uses OAuth 2.0 and webhooks with 10,000 requests per hour per user, and plans include 250,000 to 1 million API calls. The Outreach marketplace listed about 148 apps when we counted.

A RevOps lead lets reps update opportunities and pull sequence stats from Claude through Outreach's MCP server.

    The Numbers

    Outreach Pricing: Every Plan Explained

Outreach doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page, checked October 14, 2026, describes four Amplify plans priced per seat plus consumption-based AI credits, each with a "Request pricing" button. The table lists what each plan includes.

    PlanMonthlyAnnualIncluded FeaturesBest For
EssentialsQuoteQuote10,000 AI credits; conversation intelligence and coaching focus; no sequences listedTeams that mainly want call insights
CoreQuoteQuote25,000 AI credits; sequences, dialer and call insights; 250,000 API calls; 5 custom objects; 500 MB knowledge; Plus supportSDR and outbound teams
PlusBest valueQuoteQuote50,000 AI credits; everything in Essentials and Core plus Deal and Personalization agents, live coaching and deal health; 500,000 API calls; 10 custom objectsFull-cycle sales teams
ProQuoteQuote100,000 AI credits; forecasting, scenario planner, territory management, multi-currency, advanced managed services; 1 million API calls; 20 custom objectsSales leadership and RevOps

Without published prices, the cost depends on your seat count, plan, AI-credit usage and negotiation, plus add-ons such as data sharing, connectors, extra instances, listener licenses and professional-services onboarding. The only dollar figures Outreach publishes are for calling: the dialer is included, and a global calling plan costs $300 a month per organization. Budget separately for contact data, because Outreach enriches records only through providers you contract with. Outreach's terms (last updated April 12, 2024) make orders non-cancelable and non-refundable, renew subscriptions for successive 12-month periods unless agreed otherwise, require notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the term ends, and allow fee changes at renewal with 60 days' notice.

    Where Outreach's own pages differ

Pricing model and support: the pricing page says "Per user pricing. No platform fees. Support included." and also that pricing combines seats with consumption-based AI credits. Its FAQ says Plus support is included with Amplify Core, while the support article names its tiers Standard, Premier and Elite and doesn't mention a Plus tier; Premier and Elite are arranged through your account executive.

Compliance and company details: the security page says Outreach maintains EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and TRUSTe certifications, which the trust page doesn't list (the Privacy Shield framework was invalidated by the EU's top court in 2020). The about page says 5 office locations while the site footer lists 3, and the AI agents page claims a 44% cut in forecast prep time while the pricing page says half the time.

    The Audience

    Who Should Use Outreach?

Best for: enterprise SDR and AE teams

Large outbound and account teams on Salesforce or Dynamics get governed sequences, call insights and deal health with admin controls across many reps.

Best for: sales leaders who forecast

The Pro plan adds forecasting, scenarios and territory management, so leaders can work from the same activity data reps generate.

Skip if: you're a small or self-serve team

Small teams that want to start today with published prices and built-in data will find Apollo, lemlist or Instantly easier to buy and cancel.

    How We Reviewed Outreach

This is an editorial review, not a documented hands-on test. We didn't use an Outreach account for this review. It's based on Outreach's pricing page, Outreach Voice pricing page, AI agents, sales engagement, about, newsroom, trust, security and GDPR pages, its terms (April 12, 2024), support articles on support tiers, data enrichment, CRM and email connections and cloud hosting, its developer API guide and its app marketplace, all checked on October 14, 2026. Where Outreach's pages differ, we report both statements. No reply-rate, forecast-accuracy or AI-agent results are claimed.

Our editorial evaluation considers product information, official documentation, pricing, features and professional experience. It is not a claim of documented hands-on testing.

    In The Wild

    How People Actually Use Outreach

    An enterprise SDR team

Core covers sequences, the dialer and call insights. Ask for per-seat and AI-credit pricing in writing, and confirm what happens to unused credits before signing a non-cancelable order.

    A full-cycle sales organization

Plus adds deal and personalization agents, live coaching and deal health. Budget for a data provider such as ZoomInfo, since Outreach enriches records only through your own contract.

A RevOps and sales leadership team

Pro adds forecasting, scenario planning and territory management. Set a calendar reminder for the 30-day non-renewal window, because subscriptions renew for 12 months.

    The Ecosystem

    Outreach Integrations

Outreach syncs with major CRMs, email and meeting tools, and data providers, and offers an API, webhooks, an MCP server and client, and an app marketplace.

    • →Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and HubSpot
    • →Gmail, Office 365, Exchange and Outlook.com, plus an Outlook add-in
    • →Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Cisco Webex
    • →LinkedIn Sales Navigator
    • →ZoomInfo, SalesIntel, LeadIQ and Snowflake for enrichment
    • →MCP server and client for Claude, Copilot, Agentforce, ChatGPT and Codex
    • →REST API with OAuth 2.0 and webhooks

Data enrichment needs an active contract or API access with the data provider. API call allowances range from 250,000 on Core to 1 million on Pro; Kaia recording and transcript endpoints have their own rate limits.

    The Final Word

    Should You Use Outreach?

    8.2/10 Score

Outreach is a mature, broad platform for B2B sales teams that need engagement, call insights, deal management and forecasting with AI agents, all governed and synced with the CRM. It's a committed purchase: get seat and AI-credit pricing in writing, budget for a data provider, and diary the 30-day non-renewal window, because orders can't be cancelled or refunded. Small teams will find self-serve tools easier to start and leave. We score Outreach 8.2/10.
