Quick answer
What is Seismic Learning (formerly Lessonly), and is it worth paying for?
Seismic Learning is the sales training product that was Lessonly: teams build lessons and learning paths, practise pitches through recorded or AI role-plays, get graded feedback, and track readiness, with Seismic's content library embedded in the training. lessonly.com now redirects to Seismic. It's worth a look for revenue teams that already use or are buying Seismic for sales content. It's a poor fit for a small business that wants a self-serve training tool, because Seismic publishes no prices, offers no self-serve trial and sells Learning through sales-led packages. On October 14, 2026, seismic.com had no pricing page; buying starts with a demo request.
- Best for
- Sales and customer-facing teams in mid-sized or large companies, especially existing Seismic content customers.
- Skip it if
- You're a small team that wants published prices, a free trial or general operations training.
- Strongest capability
- Practice and coaching: recorded and AI role-plays with automated and peer feedback, tied to lessons and readiness scores.
- Biggest limitation
- No public pricing or self-serve trial, and key features depend on which Enablement Cloud package or add-on you buy.
- Current cost
- Quote only through Seismic sales; trial length, if offered, is set in the order form.
The Verdict
Seismic Learning keeps what made Lessonly popular, simple lesson building and practice for customer-facing teams, and adds Seismic's AI: an AI lesson builder, an AI role-play agent, automated feedback on recorded practice and coaching tied to skills frameworks. Its biggest strength is the link to Seismic's content platform, so reps train on the same decks and messaging they use with buyers. The trade-off is buying friction. Seismic publishes no prices, trials are set in an order form, and its product descriptions spread Learning features across Essential, Advanced and Ultimate packages and several add-ons. Seismic also completed its merger with Highspot in August 2026 and says the combined roadmap comes at its October Shift conference, so packaging may change. We score Seismic Learning 8.1/10, on a provisional basis.
Best for
Revenue organizations that want sales training, practice and coaching connected to their sales content, and are comfortable with a sales-led purchase.
Skip if
You need published pricing, a self-serve trial, or a general onboarding and SOP tool for a small business.

The Background
What Is Seismic Learning (formerly Lessonly)?
Seismic Learning is the training product inside Seismic's Enablement Cloud. Seismic, founded in 2010 and headquartered in San Diego, renamed the product from 'Lessonly by Seismic' to Seismic Learning in its Fall 2023 release, and lessonly.com now redirects to seismic.com. Seismic's product descriptions say Learning covers lessons (including SCORM, xAPI and cmi5 uploads), certifications, grading, learning journeys, practice by audio, video, chat, email and ticket scenarios, coaching plans, skills libraries and readiness analytics. Seismic Content customers can embed content from Seismic Content into lessons. In August 2026 Seismic completed its merger with Highspot, another sales enablement vendor; the combined company keeps the Seismic name.
The Product
Seismic Learning (formerly Lessonly) Features: What You Actually Get
Lessons, journeys and certifications
A collaborative lesson builder and Seismic's AI lesson builder create training from text, media and quizzes, and teams can upload SCORM, xAPI or cmi5 packages. Lessons can be scheduled, bundled into learning journeys and used for certifications, with an 'Ask the Expert' feature and a grading station with answer keys. In the Enablement Cloud packages, lessons and grading are add-ons on Essential and included on Advanced and Ultimate.
An enablement manager turns a new pricing deck into a lesson with a quiz and assigns it to every account executive before launch.
Practice and AI role-play
Practice scenarios ask reps to respond by audio, video, chat, email or ticket, then receive automated, peer or manager feedback against custom criteria. Seismic's packaging lists a Role-Play Agent that runs AI role-plays; its Aura explainer describes automatic scoring of recorded practice for filler words, clarity and confidence. One older Aura page still describes AI role-play as coming 'in the near future'.
New sales hires record a discovery-call pitch, get AI feedback, then rerecord before a manager reviews it.
Coaching and skills
Coaching plans, a skills library, competency frameworks and skills assessments let managers tie training to observed behaviour. Competency frameworks and coaching and meetings intelligence are add-ons below the Ultimate package, which includes them.
A sales director maps a competency framework to quarterly coaching plans and checks which reps have closed gaps.
Readiness analytics and content links
A readiness scorecard, a training insights dashboard and a daily digest email track completion and performance. If you also use Seismic Content, lessons can embed the same assets reps send to buyers, which is Seismic's main argument against standalone LMS tools.
A revenue operations team compares readiness scores with win rates by region each quarter.

The Numbers
Seismic Learning (formerly Lessonly) Pricing: Every Plan Explained
Seismic doesn't publish prices for Seismic Learning or the Enablement Cloud; seismic.com/pricing returned a 404 on October 14, 2026, and the Learning page offers demos and sales contact. The table below shows how Seismic's product descriptions package Learning features.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Included Features | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Enablement Cloud Essential | Quote only | Quote only | For organizations starting with enablement; lessons and the AI lesson builder, grading and the Role-Play Agent are add-ons | Teams buying Seismic mainly for content, with light training |
| Enablement Cloud AdvancedBest value | Quote only | Quote only | Includes lessons, AI lesson builder, learning journeys, events, grading, practice and the Role-Play Agent; competency frameworks and meetings intelligence are add-ons | Sales teams that want training and practice in one package |
| Enablement Cloud Ultimate | Quote only | Quote only | Everything in Advanced plus competency frameworks, skills assessments in coaching, and coaching and meetings intelligence | Strategic enablement teams in larger organizations |
| Seismic Learning (sold separately) | Quote only | Quote only | Learning Standard and Learning Intranet user licences, per Seismic's content-and-learning product descriptions | Buyers who want Learning without the full Enablement Cloud |
Because no prices are published, you can't compare Seismic Learning with Trainual or TalentLMS on cost without a quote. Ask for prices by licence type (Seismic lists Standard, Partner and Viewer licences on the Enablement Cloud packaging, and Standard and Intranet licences for Learning), which features are add-ons on the package you're quoted, contract length, and whether a trial is included; Seismic's February 2026 trial terms say trial length is set in the order form. No minimum seat count is published. After the Highspot merger, also ask whether Learning's packaging or roadmap will change; Seismic says all products will continue to be supported and invested in, with the roadmap due at its October 12-15, 2026 Shift conference.
What changed
From Lessonly to Seismic Learning, and the Highspot merger
Seismic's Fall 2023 release calls the product 'Seismic Learning (formerly Lessonly by Seismic)', and lessonly.com now redirects to Seismic's sales training page. We couldn't find Seismic's original acquisition announcement on seismic.com, so this review doesn't state an acquisition date.
Seismic announced its intent to merge with Highspot on February 12, 2026 and completed the merger on August 18, 2026; the combined company uses the Seismic name, with Permira as controlling shareholder. Highspot's pricing page now says Highspot is part of Seismic, so the two are no longer independent alternatives.
Seismic's own pages differ on scale: its Learning page and company page cite about 2,000 customers, while the merger release cites 2,500 customers and 3.5 million users for the combined company. One Aura explainer says AI role-play is coming 'in the near future' while the Learning page and packaging list it as available, and the Starter page lists an 'Intranet' licence where the current packaging lists 'Viewer'.

The Audience
Who Should Use Seismic Learning (formerly Lessonly)?
Best for: existing Seismic content customers
If reps already use Seismic for decks and messaging, adding Learning connects training to the same assets and analytics. Ask your account team which package includes practice and the Role-Play Agent.
Best for: enablement teams onboarding sales hires
Teams that need structured onboarding, certification and practised pitches for dozens or hundreds of reps get more from its practice and coaching tools than from a plain LMS.
Skip if: you're a small business documenting processes
A 10- to 50-person company writing SOPs and onboarding for every role is better served by Trainual or a general LMS such as TalentLMS, which publishes prices and offers a free plan.
The Methodology
How We Reviewed Seismic Learning (formerly Lessonly)
This is an editorial review, not a documented hands-on test. We didn't use Seismic Learning for this review, and Seismic offers no self-serve trial. It's based on Seismic's Learning, integrations, company, Enablement Cloud Starter and Highspot merger pages, its Enablement Cloud and Content-and-Learning product descriptions, February 2026 trial terms, the Fall 2023 release, the Aura explainer, the merger press releases and its trust center, all checked on October 14, 2026, plus the redirect from lessonly.com. Customer counts and outcome figures are Seismic's own claims. Where Seismic's pages differ, we report both statements. No training-outcome or support results are claimed, and the scores are provisional.
Our editorial evaluation considers product information, official documentation, pricing, features and professional experience. It is not a claim of documented hands-on testing.
