Survicate vs SurveyMonkey: Which Survey Tool Fits Your Team?
Two survey tools compared on in-product targeting, research features, AI analysis, integrations, price and security, using each vendor's published plans.
The Short Answer
Pick Survicate if you want to survey users inside your product, on your website or in your mobile app, targeted by page, attribute or event, and analyze the answers alongside tickets, reviews and interviews. Growth starts at $56 a month billed yearly for 100 responses a month. Pick SurveyMonkey if you run research surveys that need volume, rigor or outside respondents: Advantage Annual is $39 a month ($468 a year) for 15,000 responses a year, team plans start at $30 per user a month for 3 users, and its Audience panel sells targeted respondents. Neither was tested hands-on; this compares published plans as of October 10, 2026.
The 5 Rounds
Where each tool actually wins
Round 1 / In-Product & Website
Round 1: Asking users in context
Both can show surveys on a website and inside a mobile app. How precisely you can choose who sees them is where they differ.
- 01Survicate includes website, in-product and mobile app surveys on every paid plan, with SDKs for iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter and Unity.
- 02Survicate offers URL and exit-intent targeting on every paid plan, attribute and recurring targeting from Growth, and event targeting from Pro.
- 03SurveyMonkey's website collector triggers on a delay, scroll depth or exit intent, and its help center says those behavior settings don't work on mobile devices; it documents no URL, attribute or event targeting.
- 04SurveyMonkey's mobile SDK starts on Standard and isn't available for accounts storing data in its EU data center.
Round 2 / Research Surveys
Round 2: Volume, rigor and respondents
- 01SurveyMonkey's annual plans include 15,000 (Advantage), 40,000 (Premier), 50,000 (Team Advantage) or 100,000 (Team Premier) responses a year, then $0.15 per extra response.
- 02Survicate's largest published tier is 1,500 responses a month on Growth ($289 a month billed yearly); above that, plans are quoted.
- 03SurveyMonkey sells its Audience panel, which it says covers 335M+ people in 130+ countries, with responses from $1 each.
- 04SurveyMonkey lists advanced branching, block randomization, quotas, crosstabs, statistical significance and SPSS export on its higher plans.
Round 3 / AI Analysis
Round 3: Making sense of the answers
- 01Survicate's Research Hub combines survey answers with interview transcripts, support tickets, app store reviews and uploaded files, then drafts reports with citations.
- 02Survicate adds AI categorization on every paid plan and AI sentiment, follow-up questions and auto-translation from Growth.
- 03SurveyMonkey offers Build with AI on every plan and Analyze with AI, thematic analysis and sentiment from Advantage, capped at 20 prompts per survey on Advantage and 50 on Premier.
- 04Both offer AI connectors: Survicate an MCP server on every plan, SurveyMonkey connectors for Claude and ChatGPT.
Round 4 / Integrations
Round 4: Where responses go
- 01SurveyMonkey says it has 200+ native integrations from Standard, including HubSpot, Slack and Microsoft Teams, and Zapier on every plan.
- 02SurveyMonkey reserves Salesforce, Marketo, Power BI, Tableau, Zoom and its API for Enterprise.
- 03Survicate includes Slack, Segment, Zapier and Zendesk on every paid plan, adds HubSpot and Intercom on Growth, and Salesforce, Amplitude, Mixpanel and webhooks on Pro.
- 04Survicate's product analytics integrations (Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel) suit product teams; SurveyMonkey's BI connectors suit research and enterprise teams.
Round 5 / Price, Support & Security
Round 5: Cost per response and what's documented
- 01Per response, SurveyMonkey is far cheaper at volume: Advantage Annual costs $468 a year for 15,000 responses; Survicate's 1,000-response Growth tier is $2,748 a year (our calculations).
- 02SurveyMonkey states SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification, with HIPAA on Enterprise; Survicate says it is ISO 27001 certified and its SOC 2 audit is underway.
- 03Survicate offers human chat support from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. CET on every plan; SurveyMonkey offers 24/7 email on paid plans and phone support on Premier and up.
- 04Survicate hosts data in the EU; SurveyMonkey hosts in the US, with EU or Canada storage on Enterprise.

The Verdict
Overall winner: Tie
Survicate and SurveyMonkey solve different survey problems. Survicate is built for feedback in context: it shows surveys on your website, inside your product and in your mobile app, targets them by page, attributes or events depending on the plan, and analyzes answers in a Research Hub that also takes in support tickets, app reviews and interviews. Human chat support is on every plan. Its weak points are small response tiers for the price, annual-only Growth billing, no refunds and a SOC 2 audit still in progress. SurveyMonkey is built for surveys at scale. Its annual plans include 15,000 to 100,000 responses a year, it sells access to a respondent panel, and its research features and compliance documentation are deeper. Its website pop-ups are basic, though, and Salesforce and the API are Enterprise-only. Product and CX teams surveying their own users will usually prefer Survicate; researchers, HR teams and anyone who needs volume or outside respondents will usually prefer SurveyMonkey.
If you only have $20
SurveyMonkey Advantage Annual ($468/yr) for volume; Survicate Growth at $56/mo billed yearly for a low-volume in-app survey.
If money's not the issue
Survicate Pro for event-targeted in-product research; SurveyMonkey Team Premier or Enterprise for research teams.
