Quick answer
Which Databox plan do I need?
Start on Free if you only need one dashboard from up to 3 data sources with daily sync. Analyst ($71 a month billed yearly, $89 monthly) suits one person: 5 data sources, hourly sync, unlimited dashboards, spreadsheets and SQL databases, API and MCP access. Teams should look at Team Core ($199 yearly, $249 monthly) for 3 users and 10 sources, or Team Scale ($319, $399) for 10 users and 30 sources with sharing, CSV export and sub-accounts. Agencies start at $79 a month billed yearly for 4 client accounts and add packs of one account and 5 sources for $20 each.
- Trial
- 14 days on any plan with no credit card. If you don't add payment details, syncing, reports and alerts pause.
- Data sources
- One account, property or view counts as one source: three GA4 properties are three data sources.
- AI credits
- Genie runs on monthly AI credits (50 on Free up to 1,000 on Team Scale) that are shared across the organization and don't roll over.
- Skip it if
- You want white-label client reports included in the price. White labeling is an $80 to $100 monthly add-on, even on the Agency plan.
The Verdict
Databox is a strong choice for companies that want KPI dashboards across many systems, not just marketing channels. It connects to ad platforms, CRMs, finance and e-commerce tools, spreadsheets and SQL databases and warehouses, has a free plan, and builds in an AI analyst, Genie, plus an MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Goals and anomaly detection are on every plan. The trade-offs are pricing that scales by data sources, users and AI credits, white labeling and SSO enforcement sold as add-ons, support limited to US business hours on weekdays with no formal SLA, and a website where several pages still describe retired plans. Databox documents a SOC 2 Type 1 report but not Type 2. We score it 8.4/10.
Best for
Founders, operators and marketing or RevOps teams building internal KPI dashboards from several tools, and agencies that want cross-client analysis.
Skip if
You're an agency that mainly needs white-label client reports at a predictable per-client price, or you need 24/7 support or a SOC 2 Type 2 report.

The Background
What Is Databox?
Databox is business analytics software that connects to your data sources and turns them into dashboards, scheduled reports, goals and alerts. It includes thousands of pre-built metrics, a metric builder, datasets for cleaning and merging data, and Genie, an AI analyst that answers questions, builds metrics and dashboards and runs scheduled routines using AI credits. It's sold in five self-serve plans (Free, Analyst, Team Core, Team Scale and Agency) plus a Custom plan with implementation services. Databox hosts data on AWS in the United States.
The Product
Databox Features: What You Actually Get
Dashboards and reports
A drag-and-drop builder creates dashboards for live tracking and reports, in presentation or pageless formats, for historical periods. Free allows 1 dashboard and 10 custom metrics; paid plans are unlimited. Sharing by link, TV mode, embeds, scorecards and alerts start on Team plans.
A founder keeps one dashboard of revenue, pipeline and ad spend open on the office TV, refreshed hourly.
Genie AI analyst and AI credits
Genie is on every plan, including Free, and uses monthly AI credits: 50 on Free, 150 on Analyst, 500 on Team Core, 1,000 on Team Scale and 300 plus 50 per pack on Agency. Databox's own averages range from about 1.3 credits for a help question to 12.6 for a deep analysis. Credits are shared across the organization, don't roll over, and can be topped up for $200 to $250 a month.
A marketing lead asks Genie why paid search leads fell last week and has it build a chart of cost per lead by campaign.
Custom data and datasets
From Analyst, Databox connects Google Sheets, Excel, SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud warehouses and any JSON API. Datasets let you clean, merge, filter and standardize data, with up to 10 breakdown dimensions per dataset metric.
An operations manager merges a Snowflake orders table with HubSpot deals to track revenue by lead source.
Goals, anomaly detection and forecasting
Goals and anomaly detection are on every plan. Databox markets forecasting with seasonality and saved scenarios, and its help center says forecasts need 12 months of history and are hidden if your plan doesn't include them; the current pricing table doesn't say which plans do.
A sales manager sets a monthly bookings goal and gets an alert when daily pipeline creation drops outside the expected range.
MCP server and connectors
From Analyst, an MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini query Databox data. From Team plans, Genie can use MCP connectors to tools such as HubSpot, Slack, Stripe and Notion, with per-tool permissions.
An analyst asks Claude for a week-over-week summary that pulls numbers straight from Databox.
Agency features
The Agency plan includes unlimited users, 4 client accounts, 20 data sources and 300 AI credits, with packs of 1 account, 5 sources and 50 credits for $20 a month billed yearly ($25 monthly). It adds bulk actions, custom templates and cross-client reporting through Genie and MCP. White labeling is an add-on at $80 a month billed yearly ($100 monthly).
An agency asks Genie which clients' paid social cost per lead rose most this month across all accounts.
Security and admin
Databox says data is hosted on AWS in the US, encrypted at rest and in transit, with SAML SSO supported. Enforcing SSO and 2FA, login records and session control are an add-on at $40 to $50 a month. Its Trust Center lists a SOC 2 Type 1 report, and it says it isn't ISO 27001 certified.
A finance team buys the advanced security add-on to enforce SSO before connecting accounting data.

The Numbers
Databox Pricing: Every Plan Explained
Databox's pricing page loads on annual billing, which saves 20%; quarterly billing saves 10%. Plans are capped by users, data sources and AI credits rather than priced per seat. There's a free plan and a 14-day trial with no card. Prices in USD, checked on October 10, 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Included Features | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 1 user, 3 data sources, 1 dashboard, 10 custom metrics, 50 AI credits, daily sync, goals, anomaly detection | Trying Databox on a few sources |
| Analyst | $89 | $71/mo | 1 user, 5 data sources, 150 AI credits, hourly sync, unlimited dashboards, custom data (Sheets, SQL, APIs), API, MCP server, chat and email support | One analyst or founder |
| Team CoreBest value | $249 | $199/mo | 3 users, 10 data sources, 500 AI credits, sharing and notifications, CSV export, custom skills, Genie in Slack, routines | Small teams sharing dashboards |
| Team Scale | $399 | $319/mo | 10 users, 30 data sources, 1,000 AI credits, sub-accounts | Growing companies with more sources |
| Agency | From $99 | From $79/mo | Unlimited users, 4 accounts, 20 data sources, 300 AI credits; packs of 1 account + 5 sources + 50 credits at $20/mo yearly ($25 monthly) | Agencies reporting on several clients |
| Custom | Contact sales | Contact sales | Unlimited users, custom sources and credits, security review, implementation and an embedded engineer | Larger companies |
Databox's limits matter more than its headline prices. Data sources are counted per account, property or view, so a business with three GA4 properties, two ad accounts and a CRM already needs 6 sources, which is beyond Analyst's 5. Users are capped at 1 on Analyst, 3 on Team Core and 10 on Team Scale, though Databox says it doesn't charge per seat. Genie usage draws on monthly AI credits that don't roll over. Add-ons can change the total: white labeling is $80 a month billed yearly ($100 monthly), advanced security $40 ($50), the fiscal calendar $160 ($200) and OKRs $14 ($18), and 15-minute sync has no published price. Several Databox pages still describe retired plans such as Pro and Growth with different prices and limits, so rely on the pricing page.
Pricing scenarios
What Databox costs: three calculations
These are our calculations from Databox's published prices on October 10, 2026, not quotes. Taxes are not included.
Calculation 1, a three-person marketing team with 8 data sources. Team Core covers 3 users and 10 sources: $199 a month billed yearly ($2,388 a year) or $249 monthly.
Calculation 2, an agency with 10 clients and white-label reports. Agency includes 4 accounts, so 6 packs are needed: $79 + 6 × $20 = $199 a month billed yearly, plus $80 for white labeling, for $279 a month ($3,348 a year). That includes 50 data sources and 600 AI credits.
Calculation 3, the same agency on monthly billing. $99 + 6 × $25 + $100 white label = $349 a month.

The Methodology
How We Reviewed Databox
This is an editorial review, not a documented hands-on test. We didn't use a Databox account. It's based on Databox's pricing page, product, integrations, security and agency pages, Trust Center and help center articles on plans, AI credits, performance summaries, MCP, metric insights, sync, white labeling, data security and support, all checked on October 10, 2026. The cost scenarios are our calculations from published prices. Where Databox's pages conflict, as on retired plan names, users, dashboards, integration counts and SOC 2 type, we report both statements instead of picking one.
Our editorial evaluation considers product information, official documentation, pricing, features and professional experience. It is not a claim of documented hands-on testing.

In The Wild
How People Actually Use Databox
A SaaS founder
Use Analyst to combine Stripe revenue, HubSpot pipeline and Google Ads spend on one dashboard, and ask Genie for a weekly summary.
A 3-person marketing team
Use Team Core to share dashboards and scorecards, set monthly goals, and get anomaly alerts in Slack.
A 12-client agency
Use Agency with account packs and ask Genie questions across all clients; add white labeling if clients see the reports.
The Ecosystem
Databox Integrations
Databox says it has 130+ native integrations; its integrations library filter showed 108 when checked. Spreadsheets, databases and custom APIs start on Analyst.
