    Quick answer

What is Instantly, and is it worth paying for?

Instantly is a cold email platform: you connect as many sending mailboxes as you like, warm them up through its network, upload or find leads, and run multi-step email campaigns with replies collected in one inbox (Unibox). Leads (SuperSearch credits), a CRM, website visitor identification, inbox placement tests and done-for-you mailboxes are separate products with separate bills. It's worth paying for if you send cold email at volume, run outbound for clients, and will follow deliverability and anti-spam rules. Outreach plans start at $37.60 a month billed annually ($47 monthly) for 1,000 uploaded contacts and 5,000 emails a month, checked on Instantly's pricing page on October 13, 2026. Fees are non-refundable under its terms.

    Best for
Lead-generation agencies and outbound teams sending from many domains and mailboxes who need warmup, rotation and a shared reply inbox.
    Skip it if
You need a few hundred personalized emails a month, or one tool for data, sequences and dialing; Apollo covers that with a free plan.
    Strongest capability
Sending infrastructure: unlimited email accounts on every paid plan, warmup, inbox rotation, bounce protection and a deliverability agent, plus optional pre-warmed mailboxes.
    Biggest limitation
Billing complexity and terms: Outreach, credits, CRM and inbox tests are billed separately, team seats and Unibox replies need Hypergrowth, and all fees are non-refundable.

    The Verdict

Instantly is built for one thing above all: sending a lot of cold email without burning your domains. Every paid Outreach plan allows unlimited email accounts with warmup, and the platform adds inbox rotation, auto-pause on high bounce rates, a deliverability agent (June 2026) and pre-warmed or done-for-you mailboxes. Its SuperSearch lead database, which Instantly puts at 450 million contacts, runs on a separate credit plan, as do its AI reply and sales agents. The 2026 releases added a Copilot that builds automations, new agent types and a redesigned app. The weaknesses are commercial. The cheapest plan, Growth, can't reply from Unibox, invite teammates or use webhooks; those start at Hypergrowth ($77.60 a month billed annually). Separate subscriptions make the real cost harder to see, Instantly's own pages disagree on several prices and limits, and its terms make every fee non-refundable. We score Instantly 8.3/10.

    The Background

    What Is Instantly?

Instantly (instantly.ai, operated by Foo Monk, LLC under its terms of service) is a cold email platform. Its core Outreach product connects unlimited sending accounts, warms them up, rotates sending across them and runs campaigns, with replies gathered in Unibox. Around it Instantly sells separately billed products: Instantly Credits for SuperSearch lead data, enrichment, verification and AI agents; a CRM with email, calls, SMS and tasks; Website Visitors, which identifies US visitors to your site; Inbox Placement tests; and done-for-you, AirMail and pre-warmed mailboxes and domains. Automations and a Copilot assistant are included with Outreach plans. Instantly says 50,000+ sales teams use it (other pages say 40,000+); those are its own figures.

    The Product

Instantly Features: What You Actually Get

    Unlimited sending accounts and warmup

Every paid Outreach plan connects unlimited email accounts with unlimited warmup, though Instantly's plan comparison caps how many SMTP accounts join its standard warmup pool (100 on Growth, 500 on Hypergrowth, 1,000 on Light Speed). Instantly says its warmup network has over 1 million real email accounts, made up of other Instantly users; that's its own claim. Light Speed adds server and IP sharding and rotation (SISR).

An agency connects 40 mailboxes across 10 domains for a new client, warms them for three weeks and then spreads the campaign across all of them.

    Campaigns, Unibox and testing

Campaigns run multi-step sequences with A/Z testing (basic on Growth, up to 26 variants from Hypergrowth), subsequences and scheduling. Unibox collects replies from every mailbox; Growth can only preview replies there, while Hypergrowth and above can reply. Instantly's guidance is about 30 campaign emails a day per account, keeping bounces under 2%, and campaigns auto-pause at a 5% bounce rate by default.

An SDR runs two subject-line variants across 20 mailboxes at 30 emails a day each and answers positive replies from Unibox.

SuperSearch leads and AI agents (Credits)

Instantly Credits are a separate subscription, from $9 a month for 150 credits to $1,700 for 200,000. A work email costs 1 or 2 credits (none if not found), an enriched profile 0.5, verification 0.25, and AI Reply Agent or AI Sales Agent actions 5 credits each. Credits on monthly plans expire after two months, according to Instantly's credit article.

A founder buys the Growth credit plan (1,500 credits for $47 a month), finds 1,000 verified work emails for a target industry and loads them into a campaign.

    Deliverability tools

Inbox Placement tests check whether emails land in the inbox or spam and verify SPF, DKIM and DMARC; it's a separate $47 or $97 monthly subscription, with two free tests to start. The Deliverability AI Agent comes with Hypergrowth and above. Done-for-you Google mailboxes cost $5 a month, pre-warmed ones $10, AirMail accounts $4 and domains $15 a year; Instantly's terms say you get access rights, not ownership, of these domains and mailboxes.

A team runs an inbox placement test before a launch, finds Outlook placement is poor, and shifts volume to better-performing domains.

    Automations, Copilot, API and MCP

Automations, a visual trigger-and-action builder, are included on all Outreach plans, and since July 2026 Copilot can build them from plain language. API v2 (January 2025) is available from Growth, webhooks from Hypergrowth, and a hosted MCP server exposes the API to AI assistants at no extra cost for accounts with API access.

An operations lead has Copilot create an automation that sends interested replies to HubSpot and posts them in Slack.

    Instantly Pricing: Every Plan Explained

Instantly bills each product separately: Outreach, Credits, CRM, Inbox Placement and mailboxes. The Outreach prices below are from Instantly's pricing page, checked October 13, 2026, in USD; annual prices are shown as a monthly figure. The real cost depends on which products you stack. A team on Hypergrowth billed annually ($77.60) with Growth credits ($47 monthly) and five done-for-you mailboxes ($25) spends about $150 a month before domains, and more if it adds the CRM or Inbox Placement (our arithmetic from Instantly's listed prices). Bundles combine Outreach and Credits: Starter $94, Scale $194 and Agency $555 a month, or 10% less billed annually. Instantly's terms (updated September 22, 2026) say all fees are non-refundable and non-cancellable, unused fees for a started month or year aren't refunded even pro rata, and you can't re-subscribe to the same monthly plan within 21 days. The 14-day free trial needs no card and doesn't convert automatically; it includes 2 email accounts, 250 leads, 1,000 emails and 100 credits, and the account is deleted after it expires.

    Rules

Cold email compliance and Instantly's sending policy

Instantly's terms make you, the subscriber, the sender and initiator under the US CAN-SPAM Act, including for messages its AI agents send for you, and the data controller under EU and UK GDPR, so you need a lawful basis for contacting people. Its sending policy (updated July 28, 2026) requires an unsubscribe link in every campaign, opt-outs honored immediately, sender details that identify you and domains at least a month old, and it refuses senders in categories such as gambling, adult content, payday loans and lead resale.

Instantly can rate-limit or suspend accounts at its discretion under that policy. Website Visitors requires a privacy-policy update and a cookie banner on your site. None of this is legal advice; check the rules in each country you email.

    Where Instantly's own pages differ

Prices and limits: the pricing page's feature table lists Hypergrowth at 100,000 emails a month while its plan card, the help center and the machine-readable pricing page say 125,000, and the bundle breakdown on the same page prices Hypergrowth at $358 and Supersonic credits at $197 instead of $97 each.

CRM price: the plans overview lists Growth CRM at $47 and Hyper CRM at $97, while the CRM help article describes a flat $97 a month.

Overages and credits: the machine-readable pricing page says you upgrade tiers rather than pay overage, while the terms say overage is invoiced in arrears. The credit article says monthly credits expire after two months; the terms say credits expire at the end of the period and may roll over twice.

Cancellation: the terms require 30 days' written notice before the end of a term in one section and allow cancelling anytime in settings, effective at period end, in another.

    The Tradeoffs

    Instantly Pros and Cons

    What we love

    • Unlimited email accounts and warmup on every paid plan
    • Inbox rotation, bounce auto-pause and a deliverability agent
    • Built-in lead database and AI agents on one credit pool
    • Automations and Copilot included; API from the Growth plan
    • Done-for-you and pre-warmed mailboxes for fast setup

    What could be better

    • Products and credits are billed separately, so totals add up
    • Growth can't reply from Unibox or invite teammates
    • All fees are non-refundable under Instantly's terms
    • Native Salesforce integration not documented (help center routes it through a third-party tool)
    • Instantly's pages contradict each other on several prices and limits
    • Cold email at volume carries legal and deliverability risk you must manage

    The Audience

    Who Should Use Instantly?

    Best for: lead-generation agencies

Agencies running outbound for several clients get unlimited mailboxes, separate workspaces and agency view on Hypergrowth, and pre-warmed mailboxes to launch quickly.

Best for: outbound teams with a deliverability problem

Teams whose emails land in spam from a single domain can spread volume across many warmed mailboxes and monitor placement, which is the job Instantly was built for.

Skip if: you send small volumes or want one all-in-one tool

Founders sending a few hundred personalized emails a month, or teams that want data, sequences and a dialer under one bill, are better served by Apollo.

    The Methodology

    How We Reviewed Instantly

This is an editorial review, not a documented hands-on test. We didn't use an Instantly account for this review. It's based on Instantly's pricing page and its machine-readable version, help-center articles on plans, plan comparison, add-ons, credits, the free trial, billing, cancellation, campaign options, warmup and deliverability, its product pages, sending policy (July 28, 2026), terms of service (September 22, 2026), developer and MCP documentation, marketplace and changelog, all checked on October 13, 2026. Where Instantly's pages differ, we report both statements. No deliverability, open-rate or reply-rate results are claimed.

Our editorial evaluation considers product information, official documentation, pricing, features and professional experience. It is not a claim of documented hands-on testing.

    How People Actually Use Instantly

A lead-gen agency with five clients

Hypergrowth ($77.60 billed annually) adds workspaces, team members and Unibox replies. Buy mailboxes per client, keep each client's sending under Instantly's 30-a-day guidance, and watch bounce rates.

    A founder testing outbound

Use the 14-day trial (2 accounts, 250 leads, 1,000 emails), then Growth plus Nano or Growth credits if it works. Note that Growth can't reply from Unibox, so replies go to your own inbox.

An SDR team already on a CRM

Connect HubSpot or Pipedrive natively, or Salesforce through a third-party connector, and use webhooks on Hypergrowth to push interested replies into your pipeline.

    The Ecosystem

    Instantly Integrations

Instantly connects natively to a few CRMs and to everything else through Zapier, Make, webhooks, its API and MCP.

    • →HubSpot (native)
    • →Pipedrive (native)
    • →Salesforce via OutboundSync (third-party)
    • →Zapier (Growth and up) and Make
    • →Slack and webhooks (Hypergrowth and up)
    • →Clay, Calendly, HighLevel, RB2B
    • →API v2, TypeScript SDK, CLI and MCP server

Instantly's CRM page says it connects with major CRMs including Salesforce, but its help center documents Salesforce only through OutboundSync, a third-party connector. Its marketplace lists 50+ sales and outreach integrations.

    The Final Word

    Should You Use Instantly?

    8.3/10 Score

Instantly is a capable engine for high-volume cold email: unlimited warmed mailboxes, rotation, deliverability tools, a lead database and AI agents, at entry prices that look low. Most teams will need Hypergrowth for replies and seats, plus a credit plan for leads, so price the full stack before you buy, and treat every payment as final. Use it only with a compliant process: opt-outs, accurate sender details and lawful data. We score Instantly 8.3/10.
