    Quick answer

    Is Kickbox worth it?

Kickbox is a straightforward pay-as-you-go verifier: no subscription, 100 free verifications to start, and one credit balance shared by list uploads, the real-time API and its integrations. On October 19, 2026, its pricing page listed 10,000 verifications for $70 and 100,000 for $500, but its API page showed $80 and $800 for the same volumes. Credits expire one year after purchase and aren't refundable. Kickbox says its accuracy is 95% guaranteed; BestStacked hasn't verified that. It connects natively to Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo and ActiveCampaign, but not Kit.

    Best for
Developers validating sign-ups through an API, and marketers who clean a list a few times a year.
    Skip it if
You want the lowest price per check (NeverBounce and Bouncer were cheaper), credits that never expire, or a Kit connector.
    Strongest capability
A clean pay-as-you-go API with a free sandbox, batch verification of up to 1 million addresses and auto-recharge.
    Biggest limitation
Its pricing and API pages list different prices above 5,000 credits, and credits expire after a year.
    Current cost
100 free; 10,000 for $70 and 100,000 for $500 on the pricing page ($80 and $800 on the API page).

    The Verdict

Kickbox keeps email verification simple: buy credits, upload a list or call the API, and get deliverable, undeliverable, risky or unknown back, with unknowns refunded as credits. The API comes with a free sandbox, batch jobs of up to 1 million addresses and auto-recharge, and its integrations page lists 28 tools including Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot and Zapier. It costs less than ZeroBounce per check but more than NeverBounce or Bouncer, it sells no subscription, credits expire a year after purchase, purchases are non-refundable, and its own pages disagree on price: the pricing page lists 100,000 credits for $500 while the API page shows $800. Support is by email or a scheduled call. Kickbox's 95% accuracy guarantee is its own claim. We score Kickbox 7.9/10.

    The Background

    What Is Kickbox?

Kickbox is an email verification service run by J2 Martech Corp, part of Ziff Davis. It checks whether addresses exist and are safe to send to, through a list uploader, a real-time API for sign-up forms, a batch API and integrations with email and CRM tools. Each result comes back as deliverable, undeliverable, risky or unknown, with flags for role, free and disposable addresses, a suggested correction for typos, and a Sendex score. Kickbox also sells an Email Threat Score that rates addresses from 0 to 5 for abuse and complaint risk, and deliverability consulting and audits as services. It doesn't sell warmup, inbox placement tests or blacklist monitoring as self-serve tools. As with any verifier, a clean list lowers bounces but doesn't guarantee inbox placement, and verification doesn't make a bought or scraped list lawful to email.

    The Product

Kickbox Features: What You Actually Get

    List verification and real-time API

Upload a list, connect an email platform or call the API from a form. Kickbox's knowledge base says one credit balance covers list uploads, the real-time API, the batch API and its integrations, and unknown results are refunded as credits. Its API page says accuracy is "95% guaranteed"; we didn't find a published method for measuring that, and BestStacked hasn't verified it.

A SaaS company calls the API at sign-up so mistyped addresses get a suggested correction before the account is created.

    Sandbox, batch jobs and auto-recharge

Developers can test in sandbox mode without spending credits, send batch jobs of up to 1 million addresses through the API, and set auto-recharge so credits don't run out mid-month. Kickbox's documentation includes code samples for cURL, Node.js, Ruby, Python and PHP.

A developer builds the integration against the sandbox, then switches to production with auto-recharge set at 2,000 credits.

    Email Threat Score

An add-on that rates addresses from 0 to 5 for links to abuse, complaints or poor sending reputation, so you can suppress valid but risky addresses. Kickbox's pricing page didn't show a price for it on October 19, 2026.

A publisher suppresses valid addresses scored 4 or 5 before a big promotional send.

    Integrations

Kickbox's integrations page lists 28 tools, mixing native connectors, third-party options and Zapier: Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Iterable, Braze, Customer.io, HighLevel and more. Kit isn't on the list.

A Klaviyo store verifies new sign-ups through the native integration instead of exporting lists.

    Feature recap

    • List uploads, real-time API and batch API on one credit balance
    • Unknown results refunded as credits
    • Free sandbox mode and auto-recharge
    • Batch API jobs of up to 1 million addresses
    • Email Threat Score (0-5) add-on
    • 28 listed integrations incl. Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign
    • GDPR-compliant and SOC II certified, per Kickbox

    Kickbox Pricing: Every Plan Explained

These are USD prices from Kickbox's pricing page on October 19, 2026, read in a browser. Kickbox sells credits only, with no subscription; one credit verifies one address.

Pricing scenarios (our arithmetic from Kickbox's pricing page, checked October 19, 2026). Cleaning 10,000 addresses costs $70, against $50 at NeverBounce, $60 at Bouncer and $129 at ZeroBounce pay-as-you-go. At 100,000 it's $500, against $400 at NeverBounce and Bouncer and $649 at ZeroBounce. Small amounts are where Kickbox is easiest: $5 buys 500 checks, the lowest entry price of the four. Two cautions. First, Kickbox's API page shows a different price table above 5,000 credits ($80 for 10,000, $800 for 100,000, $4,000 for 1 million), even though its knowledge base says the same credits work for the API and list uploads; check the price at checkout. Second, credits expire one year after purchase under its Master Services Agreement and its knowledge base, and purchases are non-refundable, so buy roughly what you'll use within a year.

    Where Kickbox's pages differ

Price: Kickbox's pricing page (kickbox.com/pricing) lists 10,000 verifications for $70, 100,000 for $500 and 1 million for $2,999. Its Email Verification API page (kickbox.com/email-verification-api) shows a separate table with 10,000 for $80, 100,000 for $800 and 1 million for $4,000; both agree up to 5,000 credits. Its knowledge base says one credit balance covers the real-time API, batch API, list uploads and integrations, so the API table reads as outdated or as a different offer. Both pages were read on October 19, 2026; confirm the price at checkout.

Accuracy: the API page says "95% accuracy guaranteed", but we found no page explaining how accuracy is measured or what remedy applies. Treat the figure as Kickbox's claim, not an independent result.

    Scoring

    How the score is built

BestStacked weights five sub-scores: ease of use 20%, features 25%, pricing 20%, support 15% and integrations 20%. For Kickbox they come only from its own pages, not from testing, on the same scale as our ZeroBounce review (8.3). Ease of use 8.4: one credit balance, 100 free checks, a sandbox and clear API documentation. Features 7.6: verification, Sendex score, Threat Score, batch API and auto-recharge, but no subscription, no warmup, inbox tests or blacklist monitoring, and an unexplained accuracy guarantee. Pricing 8.0: cheaper than ZeroBounce and the lowest entry price ($5), but dearer than NeverBounce and Bouncer at volume, with one-year expiry, non-refundable purchases and conflicting price tables. Support 7.4: email and scheduled calls, no published chat hours or phone line. Integrations 8.0: 28 listed, including Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot and Zapier, but no Kit. That works out to 7.9 out of 10.

    The Methodology

    How We Reviewed Kickbox

This is an editorial review, not a hands-on test. BestStacked didn't use Kickbox for this review and makes no accuracy, speed or deliverability claims of its own; the 95% accuracy guarantee is Kickbox's published claim. The review is based on Kickbox's own pages, all read in a browser on October 19, 2026: the pricing page, the Email Verification API page, the homepage, the integrations page, the contact page, its knowledge base article on credits and its Master Services Agreement. Competitor prices come from each vendor's own pricing page the same day. Where Kickbox's pages differ, both versions are reported. BestStacked has no affiliate relationship with Kickbox.

Our editorial evaluation considers product information, official documentation, pricing, features and professional experience. It is not a claim of documented hands-on testing.

    In The Wild

    How People Actually Use Kickbox

    A SaaS sign-up form

Start in the sandbox, then buy 10,000 credits ($70 on the pricing page) with auto-recharge. Unknown results come back as credits, and typo suggestions help users fix their address.

    A Klaviyo or Brevo store

Connect the native integration to verify new subscribers without CSV exports, and use the Threat Score add-on to suppress valid but risky addresses.

    A quarterly newsletter cleanup

Buy 5,000 credits for $40 and clean the list before each quarter's big send; at that size Kickbox's two price tables agree.

    The Ecosystem

    Kickbox Integrations

Kickbox's integrations page listed 28 tools on October 19, 2026, mixing native connectors, partner-built options and Zapier.

    • →Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, MailerLite, AWeber and GetResponse
    • →Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, Drip, Benchmark Email and iContact
    • →HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo and HighLevel
    • →Braze, Iterable, Customer.io, Cordial and dotdigital
    • →SendGrid, Yotpo, Digioh and Gravity Wiz
    • →Zapier, plus a REST API with batch jobs

Kit isn't on Kickbox's list; connect it through Zapier or the API. Check each listing to see whether it verifies in real time or only syncs lists.

Kickbox is a clean, developer-friendly verifier with no subscription to manage, a free sandbox and native connectors for most major email platforms.
