Quick answer
Is MeetGeek's free plan enough?
Only for light use. MeetGeek's Basic plan is free forever but covers 3 hours of transcription a month, meetings up to 2 hours, 3 months of transcript storage and no integrations. Pro costs $9.99 per user a month billed annually ($15.99 monthly) and raises that to 20 hours, a year of transcripts and unlimited integrations, with extra hours at $0.50 each. Business, at $17 billed annually ($27 monthly), removes the hour cap and keeps transcripts indefinitely.
- Capture options
- A bot for Zoom, Google Meet and Teams, plus bot-free recording through the Chrome extension, desktop apps for Mac and Windows, the mobile app and file uploads.
- Languages
- MeetGeek says it transcribes 100+ languages with automatic detection.
- Integrations
- Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Close, Attio and other CRMs, Slack, Notion and project tools from Pro. The API and MCP server work even on the free plan.
- Skip it if
- You want unlimited free recording. Fathom's free plan doesn't cap recordings, while MeetGeek's stops at 3 hours a month.
The Verdict
MeetGeek is a well-rounded AI note-taker for teams that meet on more than one platform or in more than one language. It joins Zoom, Google Meet and Teams as a bot, records without a bot through its Chrome extension and desktop apps, captures in-person meetings on mobile, and says it transcribes 100+ languages. Summaries can flow into seven CRMs and a long list of work tools, and the API and MCP server are available even on the free plan. The trade-offs are in the limits: the free plan covers just 3 hours a month, integrations start on Pro, Pro caps you at 20 hours, and unlimited hours and video storage need Business. Some of MeetGeek's own pages also disagree, for example on AI Chat limits. We score it 8.8/10.
Best for
Multilingual and cross-platform teams, consultants and sales teams that want flexible capture and summaries pushed to a CRM or project tool.
Skip if
You want unlimited free recordings (Fathom), live captions during calls on any platform (Otter), or you regularly run meetings longer than 3 hours below Enterprise.
The Background
What Is MeetGeek?
MeetGeek is an AI meeting assistant that records, transcribes and summarizes meetings. Its Notetaker bot joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls from your calendar. You can also record without a bot through the Chrome extension, which MeetGeek says is invisible to other participants and also works on Webex, Discord, Zoom Webinars and Slack, through the desktop app for macOS and Windows, through the iOS and Android app for in-person meetings, or by uploading audio and video files. After each meeting it produces a summary, next steps, a topics timeline, highlights and analytics such as speaker distribution and sentiment, and you can ask its AI Chat questions across your meetings. MeetGeek sells four plans: free Basic, Pro, Business and custom Enterprise.
The Product
MeetGeek Features: What You Actually Get
Bot and bot-free capture
The Notetaker bot joins Zoom, Meet and Teams. For bot-free capture, the Chrome extension records without appearing as a participant, the desktop app for macOS and Windows covers Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, Slack Huddles and WhatsApp Desktop, and the mobile app records in-person meetings offline for up to 4 hours. All plans can also upload audio or video files.
A consultant uses the bot for client Zoom calls, the desktop app for a partner's Webex meeting and the phone app for an in-person workshop, with all three summaries in one library.
100+ languages
MeetGeek says it transcribes more than 100 languages with automatic language detection, and its help center lists about 143 language and locale variants. The help center says auto-detection is for paid users, while the pricing page lists it on Basic, so check it on the free plan before relying on it.
A European sales team records calls in German, French and English without changing settings between meetings.
Summaries, templates and highlights
Every meeting gets an AI summary, next steps and a topics timeline. Custom summary templates and meeting templates start on Pro; free users can edit only the General template. Clips, reels, embedded highlights and a guest view let you share moments with people outside your team.
A product manager sets a user-interview template that pulls out pain points and feature requests, then shares a 40-second clip with engineering.
AI Chat across meetings
MeetGeek's help center says every plan can chat with its meetings, searching the last 50, and that Chat with Apps (Slack, Notion, Google Drive, Gmail and Google Calendar) starts on Pro, with up to 20 chat requests a day. Its pricing page instead lists unlimited AI Chat on Business and Enterprise. Confirm the limit for your plan.
Before a quarterly review, an account manager asks which renewal risks came up across the last month of client calls.
Meeting analytics and Sales Mode
Every plan includes meeting analytics with sentiment and engagement, including speaker distribution and a meeting productivity score. Pro adds personal aggregated analytics and Business adds team analytics. Sales Mode AI, which flags objections, competitors and win or loss signals and can update the CRM, is on paid plans.
A sales manager reviews talk-time balance and objection trends across the team's discovery calls each Friday.
CRM and workflow integrations
From Pro, MeetGeek connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Attio, Affinity and Close, to Slack, Notion, Confluence, Asana, monday.com, ClickUp, Trello and Jira, and to Zapier, Make and n8n. The REST API, webhooks and a cloud MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT are listed from the free plan; team-level API automation needs Business or Enterprise.
After every demo, MeetGeek posts the summary to the Pipedrive deal and drops next steps into the rep's ClickUp list.
Privacy, retention and data residency
MeetGeek says it's audited against SOC 2 Type II every year and doesn't use recordings, transcripts or summaries to train AI models unless you opt in in writing. Data is hosted on AWS in the EU or the US, and EU accounts keep AI processing in the EEA. Retention follows plan and workspace settings; zero or custom retention, SSO and SCIM are Enterprise only.
An EU agency asks support to place its workspace on the EU instance so recordings and AI processing stay in Europe.
Feature recap
- Bot for Zoom, Meet and Teams, plus bot-free Chrome, desktop and mobile capture

- AI summaries, next steps, templates (Pro) and shareable clips
- AI Chat across your meetings
- Meeting analytics and Sales Mode AI
- 7 CRM integrations plus Slack, Notion and project tools (Pro and up)
- API and MCP server from the free plan
- SOC 2 Type II; EU or US hosting; no training on meeting content
The Numbers
MeetGeek Pricing: Every Plan Explained
MeetGeek charges per user per month. Annual billing saves up to about 40%. Pro has a pay-as-you-go option for extra hours at $0.50 each, and Business has a 14-day free trial. MeetGeek offers 30% off for startups, non-profits and education. Prices checked on October 10, 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Included Features | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $0 | $0 | 3 hours of transcription/mo, 2-hour meetings, transcripts kept 3 months, audio 1 month, no video storage, no integrations, API and MCP | Trying MeetGeek on a few meetings a month |
| ProBest value | $15.99/user | $9.99/user/mo | 20 hours/mo ($0.50 per extra hour), 2-hour meetings, transcripts kept 1 year, audio 6 months, unlimited integrations, templates, Chat with Apps | Individual professionals and small teams |
| Business | $27/user | $17/user/mo | Unlimited hours, 3-hour meetings, unlimited transcript storage, audio and video kept 12 months, team analytics, team-level API automation. 14-day trial | Teams that record most of their meetings |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Unlimited hours (capped at 200 a month per MeetGeek's help center), 4-hour meetings, SSO and SCIM, zero or custom retention, on-premise storage options, dedicated account manager | Organizations with security and retention requirements |
The free plan's 3 hours a month is about four one-hour meetings once you allow for longer calls, so most regular users will need Pro. Pro's 20 hours covers roughly one meeting a working day; past that, pay-as-you-go hours cost $0.50 each, so 10 extra hours adds $5. Business is the plan for people who live in meetings: unlimited hours, 3-hour meetings, permanent transcripts and the only paid tier below Enterprise that stores video. If you need meetings longer than 3 hours, only Enterprise allows 4. Compare against Fathom, whose free plan doesn't cap recordings, and Otter, whose free plan gives 300 minutes a month.
Pricing scenarios
What MeetGeek costs in practice: three calculations
These are our calculations from MeetGeek's published prices on October 10, 2026, not measured usage.
Calculation 1, a consultant with 25 hours of meetings a month. Pro covers 20 hours, and the extra 5 hours cost $0.50 each, so the month costs $9.99 + $2.50 = $12.49 on annual billing, or $15.99 + $2.50 = $18.49 monthly. Business would be $17 billed annually with no hour cap.
Calculation 2, a five-person sales team. Business for five seats is 5 × $17 = $85 a month billed annually ($1,020 a year), or 5 × $27 = $135 a month billed monthly. That includes unlimited hours, team analytics and video storage for 12 months.
Calculation 3, a startup that qualifies for MeetGeek's 30% discount. Assuming the discount applies to the annual Business price, five seats would come to about $59.50 a month. Confirm the terms with MeetGeek, because the pricing page doesn't say which plans or billing periods it covers.

The Audience
Who Should Use MeetGeek?
Best for: multilingual and cross-platform teams
If your meetings happen on Zoom, Teams, Webex and in person, and in more than one language, MeetGeek's mix of capture methods and 100+ languages covers more situations than most note-takers.
Best for: sales teams on Pipedrive, Close or Attio
MeetGeek's CRM list goes beyond Salesforce and HubSpot, and Sales Mode flags objections and competitors. Business at $17 a user a month billed annually removes the hour cap.
Skip if: you want the most generous free plan
Fathom's free plan records and transcribes without a cap; MeetGeek's free plan stops at 3 hours a month and leaves out integrations.

The Final Word
Should You Use MeetGeek?
MeetGeek is a capable choice when flexibility matters: bot or bot-free capture, desktop and mobile recording, 100+ languages and integrations with seven CRMs and most work tools. Its privacy terms are among the clearer ones, with no training on meeting content unless you opt in. The limits decide the plan: 3 free hours a month is a trial, Pro's 20 hours suits a light schedule, and heavy meeting users should budget for Business at $17 per user a month billed annually. If you mainly want unlimited free recordings, Fathom is the simpler start. We score MeetGeek 8.8/10.
Yes, if
You meet across several platforms or languages, want summaries in your CRM or project tool, and will pay for Pro or Business.
No, if
You want unlimited free recordings, live captions on every platform, or SSO without an Enterprise contract.
