    Quick answer

What is Plus AI, and is it worth paying for?

Plus AI is an AI add-in for Google Slides and PowerPoint, made by Plus Docs, Inc. It writes a full deck from a prompt or a document, inserts single slides, and rewrites or remixes existing slides, all inside the presentation app you already use. One subscription covers both apps. It's worth paying for if your decks have to end up as editable Slides or PowerPoint files, for clients or a company template. Basic costs $10 per user a month billed annually ($15 monthly) with 1,500 AI credits, checked on Plus AI's pricing page on October 13, 2026. There is no free plan, the 7-day trial needs a credit card, and the help center says subscription payments are not refunded.

    Best for
Consultants, agencies and sales teams that build client decks in Google Slides or PowerPoint and want AI drafts that stay native and editable.
    Skip it if
You want a free plan, prefer scrolling web-style decks, or need refundable billing.
    Strongest capability
It works inside Google Slides and PowerPoint: generate, insert, rewrite, remix and translate slides without exporting from another tool, with one subscription for both apps.
    Biggest limitation
Credits and plan gates: the agent runs on monthly per-user credits (40 to 170 per typical task), file uploads need Pro, branding needs Team, and true custom templates need Enterprise.

    The Verdict

Plus AI's main selling point is where it runs. It lives inside Google Slides and PowerPoint, so a generated deck is a normal Slides or .pptx file that colleagues can edit, and the same subscription covers both apps and Google Docs. It can build a deck from a prompt or an uploaded PDF, Word or text file, insert one slide in a chosen layout, rewrite or translate slides, and remix a slide into a new layout. In PowerPoint, an AI agent can edit the selected slide on request. The trade-offs are cost structure and gating. There is no free plan, the trial needs a card, monthly credits run out (Plus AI says a typical task uses 40 to 170), file uploads and images need Pro, branding needs Team, and full custom templates need Enterprise. Support is by email from what Plus AI calls a small team. Its own pages disagree on whether Basic is unlimited, whether a free plan exists, and which plan gets custom templates, presets and saved context. We score Plus AI 8.1/10.

    The Background

    What Is Plus AI?

Plus AI (plusai.com) is made by Plus Docs, Inc., based in Seattle. It is sold as a Google Workspace add-on (Plus AI for Google Slides and Docs) and a Microsoft PowerPoint add-in, plus a web app that can generate a deck and export it as a .pptx file but has no editing tools. A paid plan is needed to use it. The add-in can generate a presentation from a prompt, an outline, slide by slide or from an uploaded file, insert a single slide, rewrite and translate text, remix slides into new layouts and add AI images. In PowerPoint and through the API, an AI agent can create decks and edit selected slides. Plus AI also offers a Presentations API, a Presentation Agent API, an MCP server and a Zapier integration, and an older product called Live Snapshots for capturing live web content into documents.

    The Product

Plus AI Features: What You Actually Get

Deck generation inside Slides and PowerPoint

Plus AI builds a new presentation from a prompt, an outline, slide by slide, or a pasted text, using one of its templates. In Google Slides you review an outline first, then it writes the deck; it can produce editable native slides or a more visual 'Images' mode. Plus AI caps a single generation at about 30 slides and suggests building longer decks a chapter at a time. Generated slides are appended to the open file, and you edit them like any other slides.

A strategy consultant drafts a 20-slide client update in the firm's Google Slides file, then edits numbers and charts by hand before sending.

    Insert, rewrite and remix slides

From the Edit with Plus AI sidebar you can insert one slide in a specific layout, rewrite text to change tone or length, translate one slide or the whole deck, and remix a slide, for example turning a paragraph into three columns. Plus AI says it supports prompts and output in most languages. In PowerPoint, the AI agent can also change the selected slide on request, adding tables, charts, icons or images, and you can stop it mid-task.

A sales rep pastes a dense paragraph into a slide and remixes it into a three-column layout, then translates the deck for a client in Spain.

    Document to presentation

On Pro and up you can upload a PDF, Word, text or PowerPoint file, or import from Google Drive, and either generate a new deck or remix an existing one into a Plus template. Enhance mode rewrites content to fit slides; Preserve mode keeps your wording. Prompts can exceed 100,000 characters on Pro, and the PowerPoint and web versions accept up to 10 reference files. Plus AI says it can't extract images, diagrams or charts from your document.

A product marketer uploads a 15-page launch brief and gets a first-draft launch deck in Preserve mode so approved wording stays intact.

    Branding, templates and team sharing

Team plans can save brand colors, fonts and a logo, shared across the organization, plus presets and saved context about your company. Branding doesn't combine with Plus AI's designer templates. Importing your own company template is a Google Slides beta on the Team plan (up to 25 slides per template and 5 templates per team), with charts, native tables and diagrams unsupported; Plus AI's pricing FAQ and branding guide send full custom templates to Enterprise, which it says takes a week or two to set up.

A 10-person agency on Team saves its brand colors, fonts and logo so every AI-generated pitch deck starts on brand.

    API, MCP server and automation

The Presentations API creates native PowerPoint files from a prompt (up to 30 slides), and the Presentation Agent API lets a program hand an AI agent a multi-turn task that creates or edits a .pptx file. Both, and the remote MCP server, are listed for Pro or Team plans, use an API key or OAuth, and draw on AI credits. A Zapier integration covers no-code workflows.

A revenue-operations team uses Zapier to generate a draft account-review deck whenever a CRM opportunity reaches a set stage.

Plus AI Pricing: Every Plan Explained

These Plus AI prices come from Plus AI's pricing page, checked October 13, 2026, in USD per user a month. Annual prices are shown as a monthly figure. Plus AI bills per user, and on a paid plan the whole organization is upgraded; you can't upgrade individual members. All paid plans start with a 7-day trial that includes 1,000 credits and needs a credit card.

For a team of five, Basic costs $50 a month billed annually and Pro $100 (our arithmetic from Plus AI's listed prices). Credits belong to each user and reset on the billing date, and Plus AI says a typical task uses 40 to 170 credits, so Basic's 1,500 credits cover roughly 9 to 37 typical tasks a month and Pro's 3,000 about 17 to 75 (our arithmetic). When credits run out, the help center says you can't use the AI agent until the next reset. The 7-day trial includes 1,000 credits whatever plan you pick, needs a credit card, charges automatically when it ends, and is only for new customers. Plus AI's help center says subscriptions renew automatically every month or year and that it does not issue refunds on subscription payments, and its terms of service call payments final and non-refundable, with no refund for the rest of a billing period after cancelling. Upgrades are billed immediately, prorated; downgrades become account credit. Uninstalling the add-in does not cancel the subscription; only the organization owner can cancel, in the billing portal.

    Read before you buy

Where Plus AI's own pages differ

Unlimited or capped: the help center's plans and billing page says Basic gives "unlimited AI generation and editing", while the pricing page lists Basic with 1,500 AI credits a month. The same help page says credits are used by the AI agent, which it describes as available only in PowerPoint and the API, so it is not clear from Plus AI's pages how credits apply to generation in Google Slides.

Free plan: the help center says "You need a paid plan to use Plus AI", but the pricing page's trial FAQ refers to customers who "previously signed up for the Plus free plan", and the Google Workspace Marketplace listing says you can start for free and upgrade for unlimited AI. Today the only no-cost option on the pricing page is the card-required 7-day trial.

Custom templates: the pricing FAQ says setting up your own template requires an Enterprise plan, and the custom branding guide says you can't upload an existing company template unless you're an Enterprise customer. The custom templates guide describes a beta that imports a Google Slides template on the Team plan.

Presets and saved context: the pricing page lists saved presets and custom AI instructions on Team, while the presets and saved context guides say they need the Pro plan. Credits: the plans page says credits belong to each user and aren't shared across the organization, while the Presentation Agent API guide refers to "when your organization is out of credits".

    Data

    Security, AI models and terms

Plus AI's security page says it has completed a SOC 2 Type II audit (report on request), encrypts data at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS, and runs on Amazon Web Services. Its privacy policy says Plus Docs does not use Google Workspace API data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine learning models, and follows Google's Limited Use rules, but also that it may use aggregated, de-identified data from your use of the service to improve it and develop new products. Plus AI doesn't name the AI models it uses; the homepage says "the latest AI models from top providers", and the terms of service say AI features may come from third-party providers.

The terms of service, which show no effective date, provide AI results as is, say results may not be unique to you, treat your inputs and results as your customer data, and cap Plus AI's liability at the fees you paid or $500, whichever is greater. Plus AI can change the terms by posting a notice. The help center's changelog was last updated in June 2024, so recent product changes are not documented there.

    • One subscription covers Slides, PowerPoint and Google Docs
    • Insert, rewrite, remix and translate individual slides, not just whole decks
    • Entry price of $10 per user a month billed annually
    • API, Agent API, MCP server and Zapier for automation from Pro
    • SOC 2 Type II audit and AES-256 encryption at rest

    What could be better

    • Subscription payments are not refunded
    • Monthly per-user credits cap AI use below the $200 Max plan
    • File uploads and AI images need Pro; custom branding needs Team
    • Full custom templates need Enterprise; the Team import is a Google Slides-only beta
    • Email-only support from a small team, with replies in up to a couple of business days

    The Audience

    Who Should Use Plus AI?

Best for: consultants and agencies on client templates

People who hand over decks as Google Slides or PowerPoint files get AI drafts, layout remixes and translations without leaving the file, and can keep editing by hand. Team adds shared brand colors, fonts and logos.

Best for: sales teams producing many similar decks

Reps can generate account reviews or proposals from notes or uploaded documents, reuse presets and saved company context, and automate drafts through Zapier or the API on Pro and up.

Skip if: you want a free tool or web-first decks

There is no free plan, and Plus AI produces slides rather than scrolling web pages with view analytics. Gamma has a free plan and web-style decks; Copilot or Gemini may already be in your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace plan.

How People Actually Use Plus AI

A solo consultant building client decks

Basic ($10 billed annually) covers prompt-based decks, single-slide inserts and remixes in Google Slides or PowerPoint. Move to Pro ($20) to turn interview notes or reports into slides by uploading the file.

A 10-person agency that must stay on brand

Team ($30 a user billed annually, $300 a month for 10 people by our arithmetic) adds shared brand colors, fonts and logo, presets and saved company context. Ask about Enterprise if you need your exact slide masters.

    A developer automating report decks

Pro or Team includes the Presentations API, Presentation Agent API and MCP server, which return native .pptx files. Each run draws on AI credits, so check monthly volume against the plan's credit limit.

    The Ecosystem

    Plus AI Integrations

Plus AI runs as an add-in inside Google Slides, Google Docs and PowerPoint, with an API, MCP server and Zapier integration for automation.

    • →Google Slides (Workspace Marketplace add-on)
    • →Google Docs (same add-on; generate and edit text)
    • →Microsoft PowerPoint add-in (Windows and Mac desktop recommended; PowerPoint on the web supported with formatting issues)
    • →Google Drive file import, including from PowerPoint
    • →Presentations API and Presentation Agent API (Pro or Team)
    • →Plus AI MCP server with OAuth (Pro or Team)
    • →Zapier
    • →Sign-in with Google or Microsoft accounts; SSO on Enterprise

Plan requirements above come from Plus AI's help center on October 13, 2026, which lists the API and MCP server for Pro or Team plans without mentioning Max. PowerPoint needs at least version 2208 on Windows or 16.64 on Mac; the add-in doesn't run on PowerPoint for iPad or Office 2021 volume-license editions.

    Should You Use Plus AI?

    8.1/10 Score

Plus AI is a practical choice for people whose decks have to live in Google Slides or PowerPoint. It drafts, inserts, remixes and translates slides inside those apps, and one subscription covers both. Budget for Pro if you'll build decks from documents and Team if branding matters, watch your monthly credits, and note that the trial needs a card and payments aren't refunded. We score Plus AI 8.1/10.
